30 ROCK had a semi-off night tonight. I did think it was kind of funny that one of the macho writers got a man crush on Liz's boy toy. And Alec Baldwin is always droll and fun.

I thoroughly enjoyed the rerun (new to me) of SUPERNATURAL's season premiere tonight. Yes, they seem to have stopped desaturating the color from the show, so Jensen Ackles looks ever-so handsome. And the demons tonight were especially wicked and loathesome. Good start to the season.

You haven't really lived until you've heard the Arthur Fiedler medley of songs from Hair.  It's Hair-raising.

Watching Linda, Linda, Linda - took a while to get going, but it's very cute.

LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT had an excellent mystery that completely fooled me as far as guessing the killer's identity. I had the right gender but the wrong person. Among the guest stars were Andrew McCarthy, Cynthia Watros, and Peri Gilpin.

Tomorrow I'll watch Kathy Griffin's stand-up comedy special (the only thing I had to record tonight). That should be a fun hour.

I LOVED IT!  And so did my roommate!  We were constantly laughing out loud the whole hour.

Good winter contingency plans, DR Cillaliz.  I have loved the times in my professional life when I had jobs that permitted me to work from home.

Now, how did it get to be almost 11pm and why am I still awake?

'night!

Thanks Ginny. I swore I was never going to forward my calls to my cell phone, but I did it over Thanksgiving and it relieved so much of the stress of wondering if I'm missing calls. So now any time I leave the office I forward the calls to my cell phone.  I thought it would make me feel tied to the office, but it actually makes me feel a lot freer.

I've probably Watched "The Milagro Beanfield War" more than any other film.
Of Stage shows I would think "Company" would be the most seen. "Chicago" would be a close second.

The book The Milagro Bean Field War has always been one of my favorites. I could take or leave the other two books in the trilogy

I'm looking forward to it. She's become a real favorite of mine in the last year.

I have one near my house, but their hours are so limited that it would be tough to get in a workout most days. They aren't open past 7. What kind of gym is that?

The circuit training with 14 different machines and a rest between each one, works really well for me. I lost 35 pounds last time.

The hours here are goofy too they are open early in the morning and then close at noon or something and then are open from 3-7 PM.   The workout is only a half hour. There is a recorded voice that tells you when to go to the next station, when to check your pulse etc. It works for me. My plan is 3x a week at Curves and the treadmill at home on the other days.  So far so good.

Did you see the Charles Shultz AMERICAN MASTERS? Man, that was DE-pressing!
(But very well-done!)

I wanted to see that and missed it.  I'm getting the bio of Charles Schulz for Christmas.  I'm especially interested in his army years when my former teacher and neighbor was in his unit

DR Julie,
Becca Ayers went to Stephens College. Their summer stock is The Okoboji Summer Theater. It's in the lakes area where I used to live. I know I saw her in Little Women and Tintypes.  It's great fun to see the Stephens College "kids" do so well

And her sister Heather has been doing very well in NY theater, as well.  A talented family!

Of the three Weather Report CDs I've listened to, the best is Heavy Weather, which has the song Birdland.

And may I just say "told ya so"--that's a later album.

I believe that was on the same LP as "Company."

Cilla, I heard the family is not happy with the book.

They were interviewed last summer on WCCO when the book came out and they were quite upset with the author
