I was accusing you of being DR edi's "The Gobbler."  Wake up!

AH!  *I'm still thinking of heading up to Boston for the day to see "White Christmas".  Howzabout you?

On Friday we're going to view the Old Allegheny West Victorian homes.  My mom and dad lived on Beech Ave (as well as Danise's mother and father) in the early 60's. It is absolutely beautiful to walk through these homes.

After fighting the hordes of people at Rockefeller, we made our way over to Eatery to grab some dessert...

-The Tahitian Vanilla Cheesecake with Oreo Cookie Crust - A noble attempt, but a bit overmixed and ovebaked.  And putting gobs of whipped cream on top, doesn't necessarily "hide" the over-browned "crust".  :-\

Bake it in a glass baking dish, with a little celery, onion, parsley, white pepper, a splash of white wine. I don't use salt, but you might...
What, no lemon?

LOL!  Thanks Penny and Jose for the suggestions.  The frying I know how to do...PennyO's suggestion sounds good
Just remember to keep an eye on it, since it doesn't take long to bake... or overbake!

An alternative is to poach the fish, over a quiet simmer.  Just add some water in with the ingredients Penny suggested.  A light salad, and maybe some new potatoes or rice on the side...

This afternoon, I will be attending a recital by the tenor, Matthew Polenzani.

He'll be a the Rose Theatre at Time-Warner Center.  I was in there last night, and saw the ad for his recital... They still had plenty of tickets left... And since I haven't been to a classical voice recital in a while... Well...  -And he'll be singing one of my favorite song cycles, Britten's "Michelangelo Sonnets".  :)

This afternoon, I will be working.

In fact, I'd better get going.

I may be cooking fish tonight.  You girls have put me in the mood.

Pretty isn't perfect?
Presentation is perfection?
If the waiter is pretty enough, maybe he thinks his presentation, of himself, is covering any server flaws.

Alas, the "scowl" we predicted we would get when we told him that we were there just for dessert and coffee was a bit more severe than we expected.  Although, he seemed to be a bit aloof and inattentive with all of his tables.

I've had my morning coffee (Peet's French Roast), plus a Morning Bun AND a Chocolatine!  Twenty seconds n the microwave they're nearly as good as fresh-baked.

The "Torchwood" finale was a mixed bag for me.

I thought it pointed out some of the serious weaknesses in a couple of the characters.  i'm not a fan of Gwen or Owen.  Bot are rather average in the acting department...and possibly less.

But that reconciliation between Jack and Owen was rather touching.

I don't get what Gwen is supposed to "be" in this show...other than a bedmate for Owen and her boyfriend, Reese.

And I wish John Barrowman had a bit more depth...rather than just acting with his smile...and pretty face.

Serious allergy issues going on with me today.  Don't know if it's the weather, or whether it's me stirring things up in the house putting up my Christmas tree (probably the latter).

And re: BROTHERS & SISTERS.

I am one of those who had a hard time getting into in the beginning. But now it is so good!  I really think that it was once Rob lowe joined the cast that it started getting better.  It was very average in the start. But now i can't wait to watch it each week.

OK - guess I spent enough time puttering around getting nothing accomplished.

Tonight I am going to opening night of Cymbeline at Lincoln Center - should be exciting.

For DR MISS KAREN and others:

You don't always have access to the providential vibrations of Venus and Jupiter together in harmony, so take advantage of every opportunity coming your way. This sky pattern can still be influential for the remainder of the day although it will probably start dissipating somewhat by the evening hours. You can certainly make a splash in artistic, journalistic, literary, social and cultural circles while Venus and Jupiter hold court.

Thanks for the heads up Jrand!

Does the Toshiba not offer a bookmark feature so you can mark the place you stop if you don't finish a movie?

I do remember reading that this was a gripe about the first generation of the Toshiba players, but I thought they would have dealt with that in the second generation. (Or are you using a third generation model  DR JMK. I can't remember.)

I do have the A3, Matt, and, yes, it offers the bookmark feature, but it still starts up at the beginning with all the attendant FBI and preview (if any) hoo-hah, and it's just kind of annoying.  I'm sure they'll fix it at some future date with a firmware upgrade.  The funny thing is, it does in fact remember on some HDDVDs--it's quite peculiar.
