DR DakotaCelt -- correct answer to my question about the original actors who played Philip and Tara.
For those who don't remember, Karen Gorney was John Travolta's "dance partner"/"ticket out" in "Saturday Night Fever." Richard Hatch's main career gig later on was as Apollo on "Battlestar Galactica".
Hi, Elmo!!!
I would like to see PHC - thanks for the update, DR PINK....er I mean, DR CILLA LIZ. 8)

And JRand is off counting Von Trapp children in his sleep; MBarnum is having Bollywood dreams; we know what DakotaCelt dreams of; one dare not "go there" in contemplating TCB's dreams; and many are dreaming of cake and ice cream...or are indulging in same in post-midnight raids of their kitchens.
The weather the past few days has been absolutely glorious...and today should be no exception...a tad warmer during the day, perhaps, but fine weather nonetheless.
When I first got to New York, I was involved socially and professionally with several ALL MY CHILDREN folk:
Susan Lucci: I love her! I worked on a show with her, and she was very close to my friend Bill Tynes.
Ruth Warrick: I have the copy of her bio that she signed to my Mother who loved AMC.
Darren Kelly: Whatever happened to him? We were very social while he was doing WOMAN OF THE YEAR.
Peter White: Another nice man.
Karen Gorney: when I knew her, she was working for an art gallery; didn't her father write "Brother, Can You Spare a Dime"?
Also, a lot of other acquaintances from my professional life have ended up on AMC: Charles Keating, Helen Gallagher, Dan von Bargen
And the word of the day is: LABRYNTHINE!LABRYNTHINE is what a certain breed of dogth (like Marty and Angie) do after a good thampoo, to keep their coatth all thleek and thhiny.
...But nobody botched the job with THE OMEN. I just don't understand the thinking behind these decisions. It's all about marketing, with the 06-06-06 opening date. Quite boring, but that's the level of imagination that propells these remakes.
Cillaliz I’m glad you don’t have pink hair. Once the novelty was gone (say an hour later) getting your hair back to its original color might have damaged it. Have you considered one of those spray colors sold around Halloween? ;D Even those can be difficult to wash out & require stripping.
With regard to the hairdye, I agree that you have to be careful, but that most mistakes can generally be remedied. I have had pink hair for over a year now which some of you have seen. I bleached out a streak of my hair -which can be damaging, but is essentially what hairdressers are doing when they create highlights and can be restored to health- then covered that blond with semi-permanent pink hair dye. I retouch the pink every 2 weeks or so and so far so good.
I am fortunate to have a sister who is a professional hair dresser and excellent colorist, so I can always get tips from her. So far, I have not done anything bad enough to cause hair loss. :)
DR Elmore, I understand what you're saying about SWEENEY, but I have to say I loved it. BUT- a lot of what I loved was that it was so different. If they do a bunch of shows the same way, the novelty will wear off...at least for me
I must leave now. Der B must get ahold of his dratted daughter, to find out when they are leaving for the birthday party older grandlad Alex must attend. The idea is that we will be treating younger grandlad William to a day with his Grampa and Spare. Which should infuriate older grandlad Alex completely.Well, that didn't happen. Instead, while Mommy and Daddy were shopping, we took the lads miniature golfing. Grampa won. Then we had to rejoin with the parents, who had determined that they're taking both lads to the birthday party.
DR Pogue loved it in London. I'm not knocking the show, its concept or its success. It is not a musically satisfying production (to me) and I hope it doesn't become a trend in which actors replace an orchestra. The orchestration for SWEENEY TODD is a mathematics game on who's available at any time to accompany the show, and it has little to do for me of supplying a satisfactory accompaniment at moments where the actors have to sing instead of scrape, whistle, blow, or bang.
How easy is she to manage on a leash? And is she housetrained?
Oh.... I also hope Miss Judy Kaye wins because she's a pet of mine!

That's the title of my next movie.
We don't get National Geographic Channel any more so we don't watch Dog Whisperer but when I saw it I enjoyed it.
Beautiful Rabbit!

Swell picture, DR Jane!
Great photos from last night, DR DakotaCelt.
I went into the office at 4:30 this morning to run off the flyers for Vacation Bible School that were distributed today. I received the master of said flyer at 9 p.m. last night.
We have tickets for the tour of Joseph...Dreamcoat this afternoon. Luckily it is nice and loud and busy, so I will stay awake. I hope.
The other surprise was the number I saw from THE DROWSY CHAPERONE. I knew nothing about the show, other than what several Hainses have said about it; but I loved the number. That is a show I would really like to see (unless Patti takes over the female lead).
I told Patti what you say and her answer is:
"Oh you b*tch!" ;)
Beautiful Rabbit!
Funny, that is the same thing I said to her!
Sorry, I did not know you were that close! :D
I am looking forward to the Tony's so that I can see what was or is playing in New York, like I did last year...that way, just in case I am able to come to the east coast at some point I will have an idea of what I want to see...of course whatever Brian D'Arcy James' show will be a must.
That's what happens when you try to wash men out of your hair DR Jane.
Yes. We watched the Reba version last night. For the time I believed in a Nellie. (don't got there).
I've never "got"Mary Martin. Maybe you had to see her on stage. I don't much care for the Josh Logan's run of the movie nor the other versions I have on CD etc.
(Mitzi, Dame Kiri. Lauren Kennedy or Ms Close).
This afternoon I decided to soak in the new tub in the guest bathroom. When I was done I discovered a rather large amount of water on the floor. Seems the pipes are leaking. Sure glad I tested this before we have company.
Maybe it was DR Laura's kitty that got the mouse? :)
Are you still coming to Ashland in July?
Ran into a very fine young fellow at the Talkin' Broadway party (who was also part of an impromptu after-party dinner about nine people went to) who said that he'd seen my picture somewhere on the internet. Since a couple of friends insist I look like Deepak Chopra, I suggested that maybe he'd seen Deepak :) , and I couldn't imagine where he might have seen my picture, but then it turned out he had seen the pictures that I had taken with vixmom, vixter and Jose that appeared on this here site. What are the odds of that? I guess not that unlikely, given that a good number of theater enthusiasts read this here site, but still I found it interesting.
Since I discovered that I have a Kevin Spirtas movie (Green Plaid Shirt), and since I really know nothing about this actor other then he has worked with BK recently, I think I will watch it tonight so I can be a bit more in the know!
I imagine if BK thinks he is talented he must be and I will soon find out for myself.
