It’s St. Patrick’s day.  You wear green & maybe make fun cookies.  We went to a party once but it was boring & it was the weekend before the 17th..  The only real Patrick’s Day I even remember is the day my sister was married.  It was definitely a memorable day, yet just a drop of water in a bucketful of memorable incidents with my family.

It was a small ceremony with just the immediate family & a couple of friends.  I was insulted my fiancé wasn’t invited & wanted to protest.  He didn’t want to go & was relieved to have been overlooked.  The bride was pregnant.  The groom was drunk & stopped to pee in front of the court house.  My brother & I were horrified, the bride thought it was hysterical.  The mother of the bride was also drunk.  The judge thank goodness did a fine job & later married my brother & his wife.

Definitely a memorable Saint Patrick’s day. ;D

By the way, I just wanted to say that all of you HHWers are, to quote a certain TV leprechaun, magically delicious!

(Magically delicious -- doesn't that sound like a phrase out of Dr MusicGuy's word book?  -- talk about a little impish pixie...where is he, I want to tweak his little cheek -- face... or butt, I'll just beat you all to that punch right now...)

DR JRand ~ Is that a limerick in honor of St. Paddy's Day or just your favorite St. Pat's memory?

My other St. Patty'd Day memory is that this is the day my dearest friend Sharry married her soulmate Micheal.  That year they honeymooned in England and Ireland.  This year they are celebrating in New York City.

JRand it was far from the best of marriages.  Actually the judge didn’t have a good record when it came to marrying my siblings, they both ended up divorced & neither remarried.

My brother at least remained friends with his ex.  My sister didn’t.  Her ex did go to my father’s funeral which I thought was very sweet.  He also went to my sister’s funeral 3 months later.  I sat next to him at the service.
