Hmm... I thinking I'm going to make a New England Boiled dinner on Monday.  (Since there was no way I was going to be able to make one today.)  -And I always put extra potatoes in for the hash the next morning(s).

It was very good, but I should have gotten a bigger corned beef. I wasn't thinking about leftovers when I was at the store and got a very small one. There are left overs, but don't know if there is enough to make hash.

Until I can find it, how is Sherlock and why is he going in for surgery?

You all have heard about the dog food recall?

It's amazing how corned beef shrinks up like bacon does.  I bought a fairly large one and there is maybe just enough for a leftover meal.

DR  Jose, what about EARNEST IN LOVE?????

OK, OK, OK!!!!

-Sometimes I just like need a little push to get things done.  In any case...

Ernest In Love starts next Tuesday, March 20, and then runs for two weeks.  *It's too bad that George Irving won't be in for this show - since this season of Musicals Tonight was dedicated to him, and features show that he was in the original casts of.  In any case...  The second week of the run works better for me.

*And they're now at the Promenade Theatre instead of the 45th (44th?) Street theatre.  Which is a good thing.

OH!  And tonight was my last chance to catch The Happy Time.  Ah, well... :(

My news of the week is that while walking of the mean steets of Tampa on Wednesday, I tripped and almost took a real header.  I caught myself but my big toe on my left side (the one that got caught and made me trip) is hurting big time.  It's not broken but if I stand or walk around a little while, I'm limping and have to sit down.

If it's still bothering me on Monday, I guess I'll have to go to the doctor and have it looked at.

DR Danise, I broke my big toe a number of years ago. There's nothing you can do about it. They told me to use crutches, but I chose to walk with a cane.  It took awhile to heal.

And with that, I'd better get dinner going.

Leftover corned beef, taters, beets and carrots.

That's why I didn't really bother going to the doctor.  I'm not sure they can do anything for a toe, even if it's broken.  Which mine isn't.  I can move it--it's just when I put weight on the foot that it hurts.

I'm sorry to hear that Sherlock is having a problem.  Poor baby.

I could put weight on my toe and it moved a little, but x-rays showed a hairline fracture. At first they didn't see it so they told me to wear something soft..then they saw it and told me to wear something sturdy...they just couldn't make up their minds. The cane was fun and I played it to the hilt  ;D  but frankly, the toe hurt way too badly to walk without it.

Our local store, Winn Dixie, only had 3 left last night.  One very small.  The 2nd was an ok size (and the one I would have bought) but it was mostly fat.  Last was a large one--which is the one I bought.

DR Danise - OUCH!  As long as your toe isn't turning purple, you should be fine.  But if it starts getting "dark" get thee to an E/R stat!

I might have to go the cane route.

What's wild about this is that one lady fell last year and broke her foot.  A few weeks ago another fell and hit her face.  If it hadn't been cold, she would have tore up her hands and arms but she had gloves and a jacket on.  Then the day after I took my little trip, some one else fell flat as well.  All of us work on the 22nd floor.

I told our director that the streets of Tampa are out to get the county employees who work downtown!   :)

There is only one line of Science Diet cat food recalled and they have no reports of illness.  Callie and Boo don't eat that line, so I think we're ok
