Yes, DRMBARNUM - Madmen from Mandoras is much better than They Saved Hitler's Brain.....but they both unfortunately still feature Audrey Claire.

BK, you will love the new CD with Milton Nascimento and the Jobim Trio (Tom's son and daughter-in-law).

And why would anyone want to marry Christnos, anyway?     ;)

Well, why don't you ask Mrs. Christnos? -Or would that be Mr. Christnos?

And from some of the posts so far today, it looks like last night was the night of fitful and restless sleep.

I found myself awake and feeling a bit antsy around 4:30, so I got out of bed to get a drink of water. Well, it turned out to be a good thing that I got out of bed since our subletter was in the midst of getting ready to head to the airport. -And since her sublet ends tomorrow, well.. I was able to get in Goodbye Hug.  -She'll be back next week for a visit, but it was nice to wish her a proper Goodbye.

It did take me a few minutes to get back to sleep, but I woke up a little after 10:00 feeling fine.

I've opened all of the mail and I have two bills to pay to be au courant with my 2008 receipts. One of the packages I opened hadKristin Chenowith's Christmas album, which I kind of am enjoying.  I hate it when she goes all Country and starts dropping G's and substituting "Ah'm" for "I'm" and I know she's from Oklahoma but i doubt she was ever that twangy.

And my Complete Oxford Jane Austen edition arrived. Yay!

I still have a lot of gifts to wrap. Oy.

DR Dan (the Man) - I'm sorry you weren't able to make it in to the Van Gogh.  -If I had known you were coming into town, I could have walked you in as a Guest.

-And, yes, the placement of the Wyeth is a bit puzzling.  However, since the general sense of the galleries is "utilitarian", it sort of makes sense.  -And when the museum is not crowded, that small hallway doesn't seem so small.

A question for our chefs:

Tomorrow is soup night. If I make the soup broth today and let it sit overnight, will it taste even better tomorrow?

DR Elmore, my MIL is from Oklahoma and she doesn't twang. Jason Graae is also from Oklahoma, and he doesn't twang.

Good Morning!   Has anyone noticed that there isn't a link from the Forum to bk's notes?  I have to type in hainehisway.com into my browser to get there from here.  Or, am I just blind?  Off to prime and seal the ceiling.

That's one of the "problems" that occurred during the switch over from the previous board/software. You're not blind.

Thank you for the offer, DR Jose.  And we actually overheard someone say that if one really wanted to get into Van Gogh, all one had to do was go up to a staff member and give them some sort of hard luck story about visiting from somewhere distant and that you hoped to see the exhibit, since the museum keeps a number of tickets available for staff on the side.

I kept meaning to ask someone, what was the helicopter and why was it partially hidden from view?

Did you see my question, DR Jose?

Yes, I did.

I'm not sure if it will taste "better" by letting it sit overnight, but there's no real way it would taste any "less better".  Now, if you were making a stew and letting it sit overnight, that would be a different story.  Stews and some soups do benefit from a "rest".

However, by making the broth today, you'll be saving yourself a lot of work tomorrow.  *And if you need to clarify/de-fat the broth, it will be much easier to do that after it chill in the fridge which will allow the fat to be easily skimmed off the top.

Kristin's Christmas CD grew on me after a second play.  Even the non-holiday songs work for me, like "Sing A Song".

I am awaiting a package today that will include Aretha Franklin's Christmas outing along with Yo Ma Ma's.
