Oh, and someone (Dr Danise?  Laura? Laura II?) asked about Minx's birthday:

Minx will be 13 on January 21st; since we don't have rehearsals on Wednesdays, we can have her party here on HHW!

Why do I feel like "the hardest working man" on HHW suddenly?

I must have read her birthdate wrong.  I remembered the 12th since it was my father's birthday.

Does anyone else miss....

I wish I could say yes, DR ROn, but I never watched it. I DO miss FIREFLY, however. I got the boxed set of its one (abbreviated) season for Christmas, but haven't yet cracked it open.

So many DVDs; so little time (and this from a retired person!)

Many congratulations to DR Laura II for her college acceptance. Even though it's been a long, long time ago, I can still remember the terrific thrill I got from receiving my college acceptance letters.

You aren't! But you might qualify as the hardest working GOD at HHW. Keep up the supreme work!  ;D

Personal question time:

I know that a while ago, BK tried out an online dating service.
Well, over the weekend, I too, "joined" a couple of online "personals," (which is dating, without dinner).
So, have any other DRs tried the internet for meeting, greeting, dating and possibly mating? ? ?
Would any DRs try online ads or dating services?

I'd strike you with my Karmaliscious Lightning Bolt (one of the perks of being a god is NO MORE STINKIN' WAND), but, I did that already when a picture of C.M. appeared on HHW earlier today.  ;)

Yes, my pic and info are still at one or two places, the places where you can have your info placed there for free but if you want to contact someone you see in their listings, it costs. The only communications I had were from people who were just too far away from me; I knew it wouldn't work out.

I also have my profile and pics at gay.com but most people only check them out if you go sit in one of the chat rooms, and then their curiosity causes them to pull down your profile and read it. I've been contacted some and had a few dates, but they didn't turn into anything lasting or meaningful.

Yes, I have gone that route on a few occasions. Some good experiences, some not so great. I have made a few very good friends from the on-line dating services however, just didn't work out romantically....a lot of bizarre people out there too, so just be forwarned! LOL!

Speaking of today's title of the notes, didn't Mae West in her autobiography claim to have invented the shimmy? And didn't Gloria Swanson say SHE invented it? Or am I hopelessly muddled?

In fact, the shimmy was invented by Mr. Herman Flut.  Mr. Flut had a sister named Kate who had quite a bit of electroshock therapy in her life, therefore she was proned to bouts of shaking maniacally at the least provocation.  She called these bouts of shaking the shimmies.  One day, Mr. Flut was watching his sister in the midst of one of her bouts, and he was heard to say, "I wish that I could shimmy like my sister Kate" and the rest is history.

Why don't these GUESTS come out of the woodwork, especially our lovely visitors from that lovely DVD site.  Just register and post your thoughts here where I can actually respond to them - oh, I forgot - that would take some modicum of guts.  Much easier to throw brickbats when someone can't respond, ain't it?  I'm ready, I'm willing, and I'm able, baby, so let's SHIMMY.

Post pictures! Post pictures!

Although having seen the karmaliscious-worthy C.M. immortalized on HHW way today, a picture of the speedos might just give me the vapors!
