Joy, do you have my telephonic number?
I do not; however, I do have your electronic mailing address, to which I have fired off a missive. :)

Thanks. I thought THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE was her best book, so I'm equally encouraged about the quality of this last tome.

I still hold a fond place in my heart for GOBLET OF FIRE - just the last few chapters completely flip everything.  Yet, HALF BLOOD PRINCE, is like you said, probably the best one to that point - complicated without being overly so, and really, really smart.

She certainly knows how to play with the world she's created.

I definitely had one of those absolute goosebump-inducing moments in DEATHLY HALLOWS - among all of the other times where you go, "Oh my goodness."

Joy is there any chance that you may be at the 4:30  9/30 performance of SUCH GOOD FRIENDS?

I decided to pop in and say hey because a little bird (2 little birds, actually) shared some of BK's casting woes with me and I was curious to see how it was going with BRAIN casting.

Well, at least everyone is talking about the show, so that is a good thing!

As you can see, I've finally got the printer/scanner working with the new computer. Not as effortlessly as with the old one, but it works and won't necessitate my buying a new one. Hooray for that!

No spoilers, I promise!!!

I'm so envious of the people who are starting their final Harry Potter journeys! I bought it the morning after it came out, on a beautiful Sunday here in NYC.  I bought a picnic lunch, walked to Central Park, and found a nice spot in the shade of Strawberry Fields.  I settled down to read, took a break a few hours later, and walked to the bathroom.  On my way through the Fields, I counted no less than seven other people dotted through the same area, deep in their Deathly Hallows.  God, I love this city.

I think there is a good chance that I will be at almost every performance of SGF!  But yes, I believe that's one at which several family members are scheduled to attend; so it's even more likely!  Will I see you there?

Oh, my gosh that made me laugh! That is my brothers' favorite store. I am going to call it that for now one...or at least until one of my brothers gets mad at me.

That was originally coined by Der Brucer, and my DH and I have called it that ever since!

DR Edisaurus, I read that three times before I realized they weren't giving away free wine-in-a-box.

No, unfortunately!

We did throw out two bottles of wine in our purging today.

Oh, well, it's way past my bedtime anyway.  Good thing I don't have to get up real early tomorrow!

Hi td.  How is your mother doing?

Thanks for asking, DR Jane:  I'm taking her to a thyroid dr in the morning for a biopsy done with cat scan; she had been to see him on Friday, and they had both figured that the biopsy could be performed in the office, but, alas, it could not.  So tomorrow it is.
She's in great spirits, no real illnesses or noticeable symptoms to indicate that there's anything wrong.
It's this darned test & result waiting that's the real pain in the buttcheeks.
