Well, you've read the notes, the notes were chronological, and now it is time for you to post until the chronological cows come home.

If this New York magazine listing is correct, the "Unsung Musicals" benefit was Nov. 13, 1994.

The postal service from U.S. to U.K. seems to have improved lately. I've been receiving packages really quickly - like 4 days.

Good morning, all! I slept well, but around 5:30am I was wide awake, thinking about the Gavotte in DEAREST ENEMY. So I'm up.

I'll work on the scores this morning and make a research trip to Barns & Noble. I need to see wha books they've got on modeling and acting careers for a friend outside the City.  I don't have much else planned for the day beyond a continuation on DEAREST ENEMY. I am home today because UPS will deliver my new vacuum cleaner some time between noon and the end of the day and I need to be here to sign for it.

That's my day.

I've woken up at 4am two days running and been unable to get back to sleep. I hope it doesn't become a habit.

TOD: I think after about five months or so of not having flour, the pasta cravings are finally getting out of my system. I thought of indulging in a pasta dish the other day, after the visit to the doctor, but nothing much appealed. Still, the thought of flat, large pappardelle with a touch of butter, some white wine, capers and shreds of tuna or rigatoni with a hearty, spicy tomato sauce, with or without sausage, always sounds good to me.

TOD:

It's not really my favorite pasta dish, but for the past few days I've a strong hankerin' for a pasta side dish sold at Wegman's:  mini shells in a pesto sauce (made with pine nuts!) with cherry tomatos and feta.

As for the Topic of the Day...

The first one that comes to mind is the Fresh Pumpkin Ravioli in Sage Butter at Becco.

And now I need to get ready for the rest of my day: some pre-production discussion about THE MUSIC MAN, maybe a haircut, a meet-up with some friends who just moved to The City, and then I think I'm seeing ONCE tonight (or tomorrow).

Tuesday morning greetings!  I'm off to Dayton today to meet with the grantwriters.  It's sunny and beautiful here in SW Ohio and I'm looking forward to being out and about.

I eat the store brand just because it's cheaper. Quaker is good but it's expensive. I use real oatmeal. It's Old Fashioned, not  "Quick Oats" which have been chopped and processed more than Old Fashioned. I don't use pre-packaged instant oatmeal and I don't use "steel cut". I pump up my oatmeal with either walnuts or pecans, some kind of fruit (cranberries, raisins, dried cherries, a banana etc) and a teaspoon of cinnamon.
