BK, thank you for the directions to In-And-Out Burger. Greg was very happy to have one!

And, it was right across the street from Coffey Sound, where sound techies like to shop, and a few blocks away from my good friend who is moving out of her apartment this week. She had been keeping it in hopes that she could get another film going but since it hasn't happened she'll move all her stuff back to Atlanta. (She's the friend who cooked dinner for James Ivory).

We dropped by to visit and it turned out that she knew our cameraman. We hadn't told him who we were visiting because we assumed he didn't know her, so that was a fun coincidence!

Oh, and I watched Diane Sawyer do her stand-ups out front and tried to see if anyone looked like they could be Jose's parents. But I didn't see any likely suspects...

DR MBARNUM - nice Japanese fashions.  And thanks for the box of goodies that arrived today.

Many BOLLYWOOD spectaculars and many episodes of American television, including OH SUSANNA!  I just watched 8 episodes....6 of which were photographed by E. Fitzgerald, uncle of DR JEANNE.

DR edisaurus - Love the Mercer stories!  -And I think I shall listen my Ella Fitzgerald "....Sings the Johnny Mercer Songbook" in your - and his - honor.  :)

Awwww...thank you!

Another Mercer tidbit: Johnny always regretted that he never had a big Broadway hit that yielded any well-known songs. He was offered the opportunity to write the lyrics for GYPSY, but didn't like the script at all.

Sure would have been interesting if he had liked it!

What if....

Cilla & DaNiece, thank you again.

JRand-LOL

We had an enjoyable evening out.  Dinner was good and the town looks very pretty decorated in the holiday lights.

Keith is making popcorn and we are going to watch something, maybe part 2 of LIFE.

Thank you one and all for making my birthday special. Thank you Bruce for this wonderful site and have a super, wonderful day tomorrow. :D

Hmm... Well, at least they brought out John Williams to conduct a movie-scoring medley.

BK - I'd be interested in your thoughts if you happen to turn on the TV later to catch this special.  It's leads off the last half hour of the two-hour special.

Actually, I bet DR Ron Pulliam may have some thoughts too.  And a couple of other DRs.

George nice faucet!!!

I have never tackled plumbing work but when we first moved inot this house I decided that we needed new wall outlets.

I was not working at the time and Vixdad was at work so I went up to the Home Depot and bought a bunch of outlets.  The man at the store told me how to connect them and I went home and changed  all the outlets in the house, every single one of them, about 20 or so..... when Vixdad came  home he wanted to know how I knew how to turn off the power... I looked at him blankly.... I had no idea what he was talking about...

the Lord must look after fools because I'm still here

I'm not allowed to do any unsupervised electric work anymore

I watched NAKED BOYS SINGING!

There were naked boys.
They were singing.
They were singing in the nude.
Once or twice they actually sang a real song.
I laughed a couple of times.
I winced at quite a few of the rhymes.

I liked "Nothin' But the Radio On" and "Perky Little Porn Star."

DR MattH - As for "Ugly Betty" and Henry's tiny waist and broad shoulders...  I'm wondering if he was/is a dancer.  I've seen a bunch of dancer's with similar builds.

I wasn't the one who commented on his tiny waist. That was DR Ron Pulliam. I mentioned how much I liked seeing his upper torso. Had no trouble at all with the proportions.

When we got back to my house, we watched SHOW BUSINESS: THE ROAD TO BROADWAY. I throoughly enjoyed it. I think it might bore non-theater folk, but I certainly enjoyed it though I did think some of the construction of the stories surroundings the four shows were a bit incomplete. I think TABOO didn't get enough time. I could have done without those pompous critics trying to be worldly and philosophical (though it was nice to finally put faces with names after all these years.)

I had had this DVD sitting here for weeks waiting for Gregg and me to watch it. He really loved it, but he was a HUGE supporter of CAROLINE OR CHANGE, so he enjoyed those segments the most.
