"WTF" is such an unseemly acronym.  :)

But I thought unseemly was the raison d'etre of HHW!

A UPS man just delivered a package of sound equipment for Greg. He was wearing shorts---and it's a chilly 45 degrees. Brrrrr. Guess delivering pacakges is very aerobic.

You know that winter is REALLY here when even the UPS guys wear long pants.

Where's that boy with the parcel?
Our big ol' lug was always worth quite a glance
Where's that boy with the parcel
And why did they ever buy him those damn long pants?

Technical question:  Why doesn't my new CD of the Sweeney Todd soundtrack play in my car, but plays fine here in my computer?

Because!

Isn't there some issue about CD players made before a certain year in the 1990's not being able to play computer-generated CD's?

I will bet you have NEVER seen a nighclub show like this! A whole new take on "Singing in the Rain"

I wonder if Gene Kelly would have ever worn this outfit?

WOW-- that is as typical a Bollywood segment as anything I've seen.

DR EDISAURUS - I think since LEGALLY BLONDE opened all UPS men are required to wear shorts year round.

Was the tip a little small?
All I had on me were ones
When he said his Thank-you-ma'ams
Did I stress his gams
And forget his buns

And there must have been a box or two
That fell off along the way
Would I be there when they fall
If he drove in to my life today?

If that boy with the parcel
Drove into my life todaaaaaay!

Those who've read the Kritzer books know about my uneasy relationship with my parents, especially my mother.  Someday I suppose I'll write about their last few years - my mother died of Hodgkin's Disease in 1974 (had she lived one more year to see The First Nudie Musical I'm quite certain THAT would have killed her), and my father died in 1977, I think (maybe 78).   She was sixty-nine when she went, he was seventy-five.  My mother's sister is still alive, and turned 100 last year.

Just learned the total $$ value of Annette Funicello's Disney contract....1955-1962, but rewritten in 1960 to run until 1964.

All that money she made and continues to make for Disney Productions, Inc.  What do you think it was worth to her?

Yes, older CD players do not recognize CDRs.  In fact some newer ones only intemittently recognize them.

This is the moment.

Yes, the very one moment I will have to tell you all I am relying upon the wayward wind to help me in my flight back to the Bay Area.

I leave Johnston at 10 a.m. for Columbia SC.  From Columbia, I shall depend upon the wayward wind to waft toward Atlanta around 1 p.m.

At 2:40 p.m., a very wayward wind must provide the updraft to get my Delta 747 (or associated model) into the air and westward bound.

All times are EST, of course.

On PST, I shall arrive at 4:45 p.m. (or thereabouts).

Hopefully -- with great HOPE, actually -- I shall engage a door-to-door shuttle for the East Bay shortly after getting my luggage and be on my way home.

Pray for Barbara Pulliam's son Ron to arrive safely and in a timely manner.  He needs every bit of help he can get!

:D
