It turns out of course that my Firefox crashes were being caused by a program offered by COMCAST, that I had installed to make myself "safer."

I uninstalled it, and things seem to be working fine.....except now I am just half safe.

DR JRand - You're not "half safe". Probably more like "being less tracked by Comcast". That's better than "half safe".

As for the Topic of the Day...

There really is nothing like a good ole Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie that's still warm from the oven.

My favorite "gourmet" cookies are still the ones from Levain in NYC. Only four varieties and basic flavors, but just oh so good. -And oh so big. Big hockey pucks of just-baked to doneness cookie dough. -And their Oatmeal Raisin is not to be overlooked!

OK... Time for some breakfast (finally), and then it's out of here to run some errands before heading into rehearsal.

Laters...

Thursday morning greetings!  It is sunny, cool, and fall-ish here in SW Ohio today, perfect for continuing my cleaning in prep for hosting my book group tonight.  We're discussing Marie Arana's American Chica: Two Worlds, One Childhood, our tie-in book to Middfest's celebration of Peru.

I am thinking of getting that also...I like the music to SPACE CHILDREN, but don't care for the music to COLUSSUS OF NY.

I feel so honored!  I thought I knew all there was to know about British films but I don't think I've ever seen that one. I see that David Jacobs plays himself in it. Jacobs is something of a British institution having been a TV and radio presenter for so many years. He's still going strong as a presenter on the BBC at the age of 85.

I'm up and have at least had a good telephonic conversation regarding the hiccup.  I've sent a requested e-mail and hopefully this will work out, although the fellow who called and who could take care of it is leaving town today.  But he promised he'd get it to someone who can take care of it.  The other guy I'd called and written and who I know is out of town, too, but will be back shortly.  So, keep sending excellent vibes and xylophones for a happy conclusion.

DR Doug R, you're probably interested in films that most folk would grade with an A or B, but you must understand that, with our DR MBarnum, the lower the quality and level of taste, the higher he rates it. You've probably never plumbed the lower depths of the film industry in any country as thoroughly or enthusiastically as our DR MBarnum. He has next to no standards as long as it appeals to his childlike or erotic minds, and sometimes they are one and the same.
