DR Ginny, how are you and DH Richard?  I'm glad you are still here with us.

You love Harriet very much & she was surely blessed to have you for a daughter.   I know this will be hard for both of you.  At least the results of the surgery confirmed there was no other choice but to do it.  So very sad, at least you did everything possible.

MBarnum, I am sorry to hear about your tough day. I hope you and your friend get together and share happy memories about George soon.

I am often amazed at how much of a family we have all become thanks to Uncle Bruce.  Last night, you could feel the joy and excitement when we all learned about Jason's new job.  Tonight, the reverse is true, due to Michael saying a final good-bye to friend, George; and now to find out about the loss of Ginny's Mother-in-law.  I feel very lucky to have found such a caring group of friends.

DR Ginny, how are you and DH Richard?  I'm glad you are still here with us.

Jane, I think we all knew in our own ways that this was coming.  It's hard to lose anyone anytime, but we're taking comfort in the fact that her mind was sharp her entire life and that she lived well into her 91st year.

We thoroughly expected to be dealing with this at this time yesterday, given the risk of the surgery.  I even think Richard and I thought Monday morning was "it" when we were called over to be there for her heart fibrilation.  She went into the surgery with her fighting face on and, without the operation, would have suffered longer and more painfully, with probably the same outcome.

And, I doubt that I know more than one or two people who are even half as excited about going to an upcoming family reunion; as this group is about joining togehter in New York for a HHW gathering at the end of this month.

Thank you, BK.  I agree with DR TCB that this community you sustain for all of us is a special place to be in the peaks and valleys of our lives - even the humdrum days (maybe those most of all...)

DR Ginny, that is a great comfort at a time like this.

May you have a united family in the days to come.

There were a few mini-dramas this afternoon/evening, but Harriet had everything written down as to how she wanted these arrangements to occur.  Her preferences are not to the tastes of everyone in the family, but they are very specific and hard to argue with.

Thank you, all, for letting me spend this time with you while DH Richard decompresses with a Steven Segall movie.

I find this sadly untrue.  Most men who wear Speedos should NOT wear anything revealing of anything.

It's only in movies, on TV and in ads that Speedo bodies are seen in Speedos....seldom in "real life."

I'm afraid I must agree. I also see many women who would have looked better more fully clothed.

Well, I must be off.

Again, Ginny, I am sorry to hear about your mother-in-law...however, the fact that she lived well into her 91st year is definitely something to celebrate!  Not everyone makes it that far. :)

DR Matt will be in the Guiness Book of Records as the slowest reader of "Deathly Hallows".

I think it might creep me out to get a shipping notice for bones.

I guess my post wasn't clear enough. I was talking about the television program BONES on DVD.

My best to DC Callie, too. Cilla, I used to have a cat named Callie, but I spelled it Caley. I recall one time when she was hospitalized. I missed her so much I went to visit and asked for a loan cat.
