The Hudson Brothers claimed Rod Hull was quite insane by the time he worked on their Razzle Dazzle Show. They’d walk by his dressing room and he’d be in there fighting with the Emu.

Each of these flopsicals is better as a soundtrack, which is how I first encountered all but Finian.BK was right about The Wiz. Michael Jackson is really terrible in it. But I still watch it about once a year. I love Ted Ross, Mabel King and Nipsey Russell

Another bad movie that works better as a soundtrack is Xanadu.  I'll add that to my list.  I remember enjoying the movie for what it was, but the soundtrack is really good and I still love listening to it.

Underrated track is “Dancin’” featuring ONJ and The Tubes.

I was able to <ahem> "procure" a fan edit expanded soundtrack that included four tracks not on the official soundtrack.

A policeman shown a light in my window and told me to go another way.

I pointed  to where I lived and there is no other way to get there from where we were.


So he let me go but wouldn’t tell me what was going on.

I ran in the house and locked all the doors .

Was waiting for my little daughter to come back to school so I could pick her up this afternoon. She was at a gymnastics field trip with her class, you see. I wait as various cars arrive with the other kids in the class. But not the lady with my kid. Couple other parents were waiting. One girl’s after school daycare bus was waiting. The teacher was back and waiting. I wasn’t worried, but it was… strange. The field trip was a 12-minute drive away. Daycare bus lady was freaking out. She had a bus load of kids. The mom finally pulls in at about 3:30, she’d stopped by to pick up McDonald’s for the kids in her minivan! I wasn’t mad, but… it was not smart.

Very not smart!

Vixdad was already asleep when I got home so he missed all the excitement

I recognized her paintings  as soon as I saw them, but I wasn’t familiar with her name or that the artist was a woman.

But the singing and acting was wonderful.

Question for the pros. If you see a scene for a show or film like those tap-dancing kids, how much of the tapping sound that you hear is real and how much is added in post?
