Back from a fantastic dinner at Good Enough To Eat. Saturday, alas, is the only day for the best strawberry shortcake in the world, though the black raspberry pie tonight was awfully tasty.

It took five hours to get ten bulletins printed. I think my head is going to explode.

Not much happening.  DR JOSE should be flying in to wherever he is flying into in about an hour.

I certainly enjoyed Dale Wasserman's book THE IMPOSSIBLE MUSICAL - about guess which show.....and even in his most unforgiving moments, he seems to take the actions of most people with a modicum of tolerance....

Hello from the glorious Oregon coast.

Trailers did indeed used to come last at the flickers, hence their name.

Congrats to DR GEORGE on ordering his NEW computer!  Whew!  All of these new electronics purchases during the MERCURY RETROGRADE!!!

Thank!  And today, I went to Costco and bought "Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007" with a $30 off coupon AND a $40 gift card...and it was cheaper than buying anywhere else, to begin with.  Score! ;D

Well, the tandem bike enthusiasts are quite civilized and close to our age, but the busload of teenagers that just checked in might be problematic.  As Richard and I were leaving our room for dinner, a group of them were in the hall and one said to another, "We have old people by us!"  Ha-rumph!

It's a Dell OptiPlex 360 Minitower Base with up to 88 Percent Efficient Power Supply. :)

DR George, vibes you are super pleased with your new computer!

Thanks, Jane.  The estimated delivery date is June 3rd, so it'll be a while before I actually get it.  But, I'm having it delivered to my work so I don't have to guess what time it might be delivered...or have to have it redirected and wait another day or two to get it.  We receive UPS and other deliveries every day at work, so it's a regular stop on their run.

Woody -

I've mentioned this before, but Skip is mentioned on page 231 of RATIO, in the paragraph on Cook's Corner (the site run by the terrific Marlene Newell), where Michael Ruhlman wrote:

"Skip Kennon, a composer and lyricist in Manhattan, was an eager and enthusiastic tester and commenter and I am especially grateful for his help."

Thanks, Cilla!  This was one of the things that I was planning to get with my income tax refund.  I'd been really looking for a couple of weeks at www.gotapex.com...a site recommended to me by my sister's boyfriend, who has also been looking for deals for me.  He also said that I should wait until something comes up with free shipping.  I wasn't in a hurry, so I was able to wait and this deal was it for me. :D

Well, I'm going to go for now.  Today has been a long day and I want to take a little nap before "Ghost Whisperer" comes on in a half hour.

Until later!

Jrand, yes, the opening and closing credits are on all episodes of Peyton Place.  Actually, I've never seen any TV DVDs that didn't have opening and closing credits.

This Blu-Ray player must upconvert automatically, because standard DVDs look pretty good on this TV.  Of course, I specifically asked the upconverting question in a thread on my player on the AVS - and said question has fallen on deaf ears.

Does anyone here remember the anagram for:

Chile May Hanes?
A shale chimney?

No...that's not it.

Think "a person's name".

How about our own MICHAEL SHAYNE

KEE-RECTA-MUNDO!

I was perusing posts from 2004 and found a slew of name anagrams.  This was one I came up with for Michael.

Man Brand Morlock is the name I came up with for you, DR Arnold Brockman!   :D
