Well, you've read the notes, the notes did not come home, and now it is time for you to post until the not at home cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SUSTAIN!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
Welcome sixty-five GUESTS. Come on in, the posting's fine.
-
I don't know what the hell happened, but I posted the exact same post three times at the end of last night! Evidently, when my posts didn't look like they posted, they actually did!
I'm going to leave them, though. ;)
-
Gee, George, was that the cat that was still alive?
-
Gee, George, was that the cat that was still alive?
Why, yes, it was! :))
-
I think I'll try to abed earlier this evening, although I began watching a compelling documentary.
-
Compelling, I tell you and have told you.
-
I thought seriously about having some stuff delivered from CVS or Ralph's - both are open very late - CVS is twenty-four hours - and yet neither one would deliver before morning via instacart OR DoorDash.
-
And that was at eleven.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
I blame it on my youth.
-
When I'm not putting the blame on Mame.
-
Where's Jerry Herman when you need him?
-
DR TCB has got surgery coming up this week.

~~~ALL SORTS OF VIBES~~~ for DR TCB!!!!!!!!
-
Good morning, all!
-
The alarm rang at 5:30 and I got out of bed at 6:30. I am running slow these days, and it bothers me.
-
Last night I watched the first half of Disney's film of The Old Curiosity Shop, starring Peter Ustin0v abd Tom Courtenay. I have never read the novel.
-
I must crawl around the floor today, straightening piles of books and weeding out various clutter cause by myself and the cats.
-
I am not looking forward to any of this at all.
-
Good morning
-
I was so pleased to see Tom here and in good spirits!
-
Now I shall Wordle awhile
Wordle: 4/6
-
Good morning, all.
-
Today is the first anniversary of Steve Sondheim's death.
My initial reaction was "wait, that can't be, he just died a few months ago!"
It was A YEAR AGO???
Oy! And vey, while I'm at it.
-
That's how monumental his death was. It seem so immediate.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I was ushering for the Christmas river lighting parade when I got the news about Sondheim. I lost the desire to have a good time that night. Then my stuff, a bottle of water and some snacks, was stolen.
Wordle 2, Phoodle 4.
The latest update on Mom is that they are going to keep her for a few more days because they haven’t figured out what happened. It wasn’t a stroke.
-
Irene Cara has died.
-
Tiler Peck Retitled & Retooled - coming to a Broadway Theeder near you in 2023!
-
I am thinking I may watch Josh Grobin's television programme tomorrow....we shall see when it is available.....
-
I haven't done Wordle for several weeks....perhaps I shall go try today.
-
Wordle in four.
-
If Tiler Peck did the bossa nova, there would be plenty of blame to go around.
-
And if she did it in a production number in Mame, then I wouldn't know whom to blame. Perhaps my head would explode.
-
Yesterday, I was holding a buttered piece of matzo, It flipped out of my hand and landed - of course, buttered side down - on my computer keyboard.
-
So far, nothing ill has happened.
-
Perhaps my posts have seemed slicker than normal?
-
Oleo oxen free!
~~~CONTINUED VIBES~~~ for the DM of DR John G.
-
The only possible response to Josh Groban IS Sweeney Todd is: Val Kilmer IS Moses!
-
From DR TCB:
Just kidding, George.
I knew that, and smiled.
-

And now, I'm off to shower, then get dressed, then usher for A Christmas Carol, then grab something to eat, then work concessions for The Nutcracker, then probably eat again, then come home. ;D
Until later!
-
In the latest episode of The Avengers, Diana Rigg is presented as the Queen of Sin. She’s wearing a black one-piece, a nail-studded collar and a snake.
-
I got quite the reaction when I wore that.
-
I'm up, I'm up - almost eight hours of weird sleep.
-
Was up at noon.
-
Tried to place the CVS order I should have been able to place last night - wouldn't take the promo code. I then spent fifty minutes on the phone with DoorDash and while they finally gave me a credit for the 20% that should have been automatically applied, it was far too frustrating. I had to take a screenshot of the email even though the same thing is on their site as an offer, plain as day, and then after speaking with four people, she finally admitted that the promo wasn't good because it had reached its redeeming limit. I asked if she could please point out to me anywhere in the email or on the site where it says that can happen. She couldn't. I suggested they might want to either add that where it can be seen plainly or not have a limit - because it is completely illegal to offer a clearly worded promotion and then not honor it.
-
Rehearsal in ninety minutes. The kid isn't coming today - getting over the flu. Another singer isn't coming today - getting over a cold.
-
And that's been MY day so far.
-
I got quite the reaction when I wore that.
I’m sure you did, Queenie.
-
My Buttered Matzoh - that's the title of my new LP which will drop in January.
DR singdaw at least it wasn't jelly.
-
Irene Cara.....she was so real in FAME. And I still listen to her sing "Out Here On My Own" now and then.... :(
-
Rehearsal vibes for MR BK.
-
I received my invitation to my sister and her husband's 50th Anniversary Party.
It will be held on December 23.....at 5 EAST here in town. A nice place - owned by my cousin.
-
Wow DR GEORGE is getting Scrooge and Drosselmeyer today - that's a double whammy.

That is exciting, and it is nice you like your cousin's place :)

Definitely.
-
Well, Scrooge and the five ghosts have had their evening, and now, I'm at McMenamins The Spar for their Happy Hour ($2.25 off) Cheeseburger Slider Trio and a $4.50 soda. :o
-
The sliders are definitely worth the $10.25, but the sofa is NOT worth $4.50.
-
However, to be able to get the Happy Hour prices for the food, one is required to order at least $3.75 in drinks...and I don't drink alcohol...and I don't know if any other drink costs only $3.75.
-
But I've got 2 hours and 15 minutes before my next volunteer gig, so here I am.
-
We'll see if I stay here for the full time, or if I wander around town after eating.

Is that in an old diner?
-

I had to reread your post above this to see what sofa you were referring to ;D
-
The last time we were at McMenamins Keith ordered a diet coke. It tasted terrible and he exchanged it for ice tea.
-
The reason it tasted so bad is that it was a Diet Rite.

It was The Spar for many, many years, then it went under. McMenamins bought it and brought it back.
-
The reason it tasted so bad is that it was a Diet Rite.
Yes. I agree...not a fan, but I found that adding a lime makes it more palatable.
-
The ONLY reason I get it is because they require a drink minimum to get the Happy Hour food prices. ::)
-
Well, I've finished my sliders and I've read three chapters of my book on my Kindle, but I still have an hour before I need to work concessions at the WCPA.
-
I'm going to walk around town and hopefully enough places are open that I can just look around.
-
It not, I might just drive around somewhere and move my car a little closer to The Center...that'll take a little time.
-
Very good rehearsal. Food is now on its way.

So a tavern, not a diner. The photos looked like it might have been a diner at one time.
-
I found an article about the history of The Spar https://cms.mcmenamins.com/files/History/Spar/history.spar.Newsletter37.pdf
-

I would rather have water. Oh wait, I had water and a glass of wine ;)

I gather the savings is worth it.
-
I want to read but am afraid of falling asleep.
-
I did that yesterday then didn't sleep most of the night.
-
Chances are it had more to do with my coughing and choking.
-
There is somewhat less pumpkin pie in this house than there was last night
-
That’s because SOMEONE insisted on having it for breakfast AND lunch!
-
Hmmmmph!
-
(it was me )
-
Food was awful and I threw half of it out - Del Taco.
-
Now, let's get off this damn page.
-
Figuring out what to watch. Beignets on their way to get this taste out of my mouth.
-
Blechhhh. Del Taco - should not have done it. I wanted a salad from Stanley's - closed. So, I just went with the first thing I saw. What a mistake.
-
Is there gaslighting going on here?
-
Surely we should have been on page five by now.
-
Or now.
-
We have 100 posts on this page.
-
And still...
-
Hey!
-
Okay, this is a joke already.
-
That’s because SOMEONE insisted on having it for breakfast AND lunch!
;D
-
I gotta tell you.
-
(it was me )
Of course it was.
-
Gee, finally.
-
Food was awful and I threw half of it out - Del Taco.
Sorry.
-
That was ridiculous.
-
I need my beignets.
-
I do not understand the route the Dasher is taken. He went from Ventura Blvd. to Magnolia. Why?
-
Keith is about to pop corn.
-
I am hungry but not sure my throat will tolerate eating it.
-
I will just have a very small amount.
-
Gee, finally.
:)
-
I do not understand the route the Dasher is taken. He went from Ventura Blvd. to Magnolia. Why?
Good luck it arrives soon.
-
'night
-
I think a sofa for $4.50 is a pretty good deal.
-
DR Jrand72 sure seems to have a lot of connections in his one-horse town.
-
I am hopelessly behind on email, but hope to catch up tomorrow.
-
In the meantime, I have kind of a headache.
-
It was unseasonably warm here today.
-
Are we still on page five?
-
Only 10 more posts to page six.
-
The posteth with the mosteth.
-
Oy, this is a slog.

Apologies to those who have to read it.

Page Six.
-
Good night, friends.
-
Page six came pretty quickly. Now, where in tarnation is page seven?
-
Today I went to the liquor store and bought a 3 liter bottle of manischewitz Concord grape wine
-
Generally I buy a case of four but they only had 1 bottle in stock
-
It’s what we use for communion at church
-
Then I went to church and set up for tomorrow
-
First Sunday in Advent so changed all the paraments to blue
-
Set up the Advent wreath
-
Then I called the local nursery to order wreaths and roping to decorate the church
-
We’re not doing the greening if the church until the 11th and I won’t actually be participating because I’ll be in Maryland with a couple of friends that weekend
-
The nursery lady asked me to come down to select the greenery
-
So I popped over there and she pulled the wreaths and roping I chose and put them aside until we’re ready to take them in a couple of weeks
-
This is why we’re going to Maryland

Currently watching Broadchurch season 2 episode 2
-
The ONLY reason I get it is because they require a drink minimum to get the Happy Hour food prices. ::)
I gather the savings is worth it.
Actually, I'm not sure. I didn't play attention to the "regular" price versus the discounted price to see if it was more than $4.50. If not, I'll just play the regular price.
-
Gee, finally.
No...it's GEE! You of all people should know that, BK.
-
;D
-
This is why we’re going to Maryland

Wow...that looks real interesting! Hope you enjoy it, Vixmom!

Sounds fascinating.
-
Dancing was fun but exhausting tonight.
-
Yes that is a very interesting link DR VIXMOM.
-
Kind of a quiet evening on television tonight.
I am not a gadabout like DR GEORGE.....so I pass my time here in my house.
-
DR singdaw I have lived in this town practically all my life - so my connections are plentiful.
And of course now that I am rich with my B I G inheritance - I plan on taking my revenge on all those who wronged me in high school.
But since I haven't moved the play will have to be called The Non-Visit.....
-
Raining here tonight and more rain for tomorrow.
But temps in the 40's and 50's for the next few days will be great.
Perhaps I'll get my car back this week.....
-
Many houses are being lit up with outdoor lights and figures....it looks very nice.
I do however miss my favorite outdoor figure that used to be put up every year about two streets over.
He was the drunk wise man......his two friends stayed standing up steady and strong.....but at least three nights a week he was down on the ground with his feet in the air.
He never did stand up straight - but when he was lit up and lying on the ground it was always worth a trip in the car to go check him out. I think it was Melchior.
-
Now NONE of the wise men are put out at that house.....perhaps they have retired.
-
I'll drive by next week to see if he is on duty this season.
-
I have been told on Facebook in no uncertain terms that a couch or sofa that is over six feet long is a DAVENPORT.....
Will someone ask Tiler Peck what she thinks about that?
-
I blame it on my youth.
Reminds me of Sylvia Fowler's retort when asked what she had given her husband: "I gave him my YOUTH".
-
Now NONE of the wise men are put out at that house.....perhaps they have retired.
I thought, perhaps, that it was Bartholomew.
-
I did something useful there.
Page 7.
-
(it was me )
Well, I knew it couldn't have been ME. Now...had it been sweet potato pie...well!
-
Blah day here. I slept until about 10 a.m. So nice.
Went to post office and returned home, only to nap.
Watched bits and pieces of football games.
Watched opening credits from a few films just to hear the overtures.
-
Now it is my bedtime.
I have placed my Barnes & Noble Criterion half-price sale order.
Two 4K titles, plus an advance at full price for "Romeo and Juliet" (1968).
-
Oh I love that movie
-
I'm home.
-
Just had to share. :)
-
If Tiler Peck married Gregory Peck, she'd be - oh, wait.
-
Finished with my viewing.
-
Eating some potato chips.
-
Why is there suddenly all this confusion between the stuffing / dressing? One of those daytime talk shows, they argued it for five minutes!
-
I was always told, from the time I was a child, that it is stuffing if it is cooked inside the bird; and that it is dressing if it is cooked as a side dish outside the bird.
-
That doesn’t seem so difficult.
-
I did not usher this evening.
-
Not that I ever do.
-
It always confuse patrons when I say, ”Walk this way!”
-
Hehehehehe!!
-
I was always told, from the time I was a child, that it is stuffing if it is cooked inside the bird; and that it is dressing if it is cooked as a side dish outside the bird.
I didn't know that there was a distinction.
-
I just thought that they were different words for the same thing.
-
Now I know. :)
-
Gratuitous Post #201!!
-
I've never called stuffing dressing nor have I ever called dressing stuffing, unless I'm trying to fit into my pants.
-
Where is page eight?
-
It must be around here somewhere.
-
I feel it.
-
I know it.
-
Unless I'm being gaslit.
-
Calling page eight.
-
Paging George Kaplan.
-
"Is this a joke?"
"Yes, we will laugh in the car."
-
Name that movie.
-
And I do believe this is page eight.
-
They can't take that away from us.
-
We DOOD it.
-
But why is there the sound of silence?
-
Why indeed.
-
The sound of silence is deafening.
-
My stomach does NOT like Del Taco right now.
-
And will never like it again.
-
I can assure you of that.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
They include a reference to a close personal friend.
-
They do.
-
I've read them.
-
Are TCB and George playing Phase Ten?
-
Boy, when people disappear, the disappear.
-
Gone with the wind.
-
Welcome fifty-nine GUESTS.
-
That's a lot o' guests.
-
A gust of GUESTS.
-
I wonder if we can have an entire page of ME?
-
That might be fun.
-
I think we're pretty close, actually.
-
Of course, we'd be there already had people not disappeared.
-
But people did.
-
And I am a voice in the wind.
-
Or a voice in the wilderness.
-
So close, yet so far.
-
But we may as well just get this done.
-
So it is written, so it shall be done.
