He was recently in NYC to see Kitty Carlisle's show at Fienstein's and then was invited to an aftger-party where he met Ms. Michele Lee among others.

Was that party she attended with Chita?  The one I saw on Will and Grace last night?

:D

(just a joke, ya know!)

Thanks for that info, DR Jennifer.

spoiler (in case there is anyone else who cares about the show and hasn't seen it yet)

I simply couldn't believe that the producers would seriously consider the alternate ending that was so absurd. Having Veronica being accused of Meg's murder would have taken the show off in the wrong direction entirely if we're going to solve the mystery of the bus "accident."

LOL! It was Gloria Henry, DR JRand55, the mom on DENNIS THE MENACE!

She still stays in touch with all of the surviving cast members and she is a wonderful lady to chat with! She does volunteer work at the Los Angeles Zoo, now!

I had time to watch about 80 minutes of DEATH AND THE MAIDEN. Well done. Polanski did OK with keeping the talk of the play moving and interesting. Not sure we needed to see Sigourney wrecking the car, but it did get us out of that house for a few moments. Looks like there is about 15 minutes to go.

I never saw this on stage, so this is my first encounter with the play.

This reminds me of a notice I got from an organization that I am a lifetime member of, informing me that my membership was about to expire!!!!

Luckily it wasn't intended for me, but for another attorney in the office who isn't a life member.

My college roommate is also a BIG fan of Jane Froman, DR Ron. He's salivating over a potential DVD issue of WITH A SONG IN MY HEART, but in the meantime, he said he would send me on DVD an the actual Jane Froman's last TV appearance in 1960, an 8 minute song medley on THE ED SULLIVAN SHOW which he recently got.

I got in the mail today my soundtrack for BEST FOOT FORWARD, but it takes a back seat to SEVEN BRIDES and then next in line is the soundtrack to DUBARRY WAS A LADY.

Since I will have had enough of Sigourney Weaver after DEATH AND THE MAIDEN is over, I'll hold off continuing ALIEN 3 until tomorrow and instead watch Johnny Depp in SECRET WINDOW tonight.

I will be very interested in your reaction to this film....

First time viewing. I didn't see it in the theater and did not rent/buy the DVD. I recorded this off HBO-HD.

I will offer some opinions later tonight after I've seen it. I also want to finish DEATH AND THE MAIDEN.

Finally got to read the VARIETY review for THE COLOR PURPLE: very mixed but tended toward positive citing the audience's embracing of the material despite the episodic book, the Greek chorus of gossipy ladies the reviewer felt didn't work at all, and Celie not being the focus of the show nearly enough.

The reviewer expects it will have a long run despite its lapses.

From seeing the first 80 minutes - yes. It's a psychological mystery with only three characters. But the ending could make or break it.

Hoo boy, the Pope John  Paul movie on ABC last night did nothing in the ratings. FInished third among the big three even against JOEY/WILL & GRACE/CSI reruns, and even worse, lost viewers in its second hour.

Now come decorate MY house!

Sure, DR vixmom, just as soon as I finish the kitchen (we're now switching to the Christmas dishes), living room, dining room, front windows, porch rail, shopping, baking, cards...you know the drill.

Heinous, indeed!
