Apparently, Mr. Obama is not going to be sending me an e-mail today.  Of course, if he is e-mailing me to tell me he has picked Tim Kaine, he might as well save his electricity.

Frosted with what?  Butter Cream Frosting?  Whipped Cream?

Cool Whip - or any other non-dairy topping.  The real stuff - the dairy - can cause "issues".

Hmm... I just checked the cast list for Nudists In Love, and it looks like I'll be seeing a couple other people I know in their birthday suits tonight.  Hmm....
Hmmm indeed!  Are these people you know, who will be in their birthday suits tonight, or are they people who you know in their birthday suits, who you will be seeing tonight.  Again.

And if it's the latter, doesn't that take away some of the surprise in seeing the play?

Doesn't anyone have any more rib-tickling movie scenes they'd like to share?

"His Love Makes Me Beautiful" in FUNNY GIRL garners guffaws from moi.

Yes, but at least he will go in knowing how long the piece is.

And now... Time for me to head down to the Bleecker Street Theatre to see some actors singing their hearts out and their clothes off.

Laters...

I feel so much better today - I'd say I felt like a new man, but when you're sixty, can't really say that.
I'd say I feel like a new man, but der Brucer gets so jealous.

Frost/Nixon & Dixie's Tupperware Party On Sale Monday!

That is the subject of an email I just received.  I had no idea that Frost and Nixon hosted Tupperware parties
No one burps a Tupperware bowl the way Nixon burps a Tupperware bowl.

I really should get dinner on the table.

Salmon fillets.  Roasted potatoes.  Spinach.

Shortly I shall be on my way to see Miss Sharon McNight.  While showering I had a rather wicked notion:  I used to play the Gardenia, from about 1984 to 1989 I did the room three or four times a year, always selling out.  I sang all my own stuff and it was fun.  Then, when I got Totally Hidden Video, I stopped and I've never gone back, because I wouldn't want to upset my close personal friend, Mr. Guy Haines.  But, what if I did put together an act for the Gardenia?  Keeping some of the old, but doing a lot of Guy's songs, too, since he wouldn't be able to be there.  So, a combo platter of original material (I've written a LOT since then), maybe doing a couple of What Ifs and parodies in the show - like the Yiddish Sondheim - could be fun, no?

If I make this decision, I might book two days in November to do the first incarnation, but it would have to be at the beginning of November, because a) I wouldn't play anywhere near Thanksgiving, and b) I'll have to be in NY for the Bacharach concert the last week of November.  But that might be too quick, in which case I could book to days in late January and give myself some time to get comfortable with the thought of performing in public again.  I shall ponder.

Well here are German Fabien Hambuechen congratulating U.S. gymnast Jonathan Horton after Horton won the silver medal in the High Bar competition.

I wonder where I should send the Hallmark card?  :D

Well hopefully Mr Obama will not choose Evan Bayh as his running mate.

My thought is that Mrs. Clinton is taking it to the convention and will walk away with the nomination anyway.

Hey, maybe you could get Guy on the phone, since he won't be able to be there personally, and you could do a duet?  Like "Hey There," from Pajama Game?

I vote late January.  Beside, who know how Guy will react?

So that's what inspired Madonna in that bra she wore on one of her tours!

Madonna isn't pretty enough to appear in a MaidenForm ad.
