Although, I did get distracted by something I seem to have forgotten.

I spent a good 2 1/2 hours watching the rest of the bonus material on the SALO disc. There were three documentaries, one interview with the production designer, and a director-critic who offered a half hour analysis of the movie.

All of those pieces showed film clips in discussing things they wanted to talk about, and often it was the most repugnant and/or violent moments I kept having to relive.

I can tell myself "it's just a movie" but I can never convince myself that it's not real.

I watched more scenes of A FEW GOOD MEN on Blu-ray. I always enjoy revisiting this. But now that I have so many box sets stacking up, I had to take it out of the player.

To get ready for tonight's BURN NOTICE, I plucked the 1st season set off the shelf and pulled out one of the discs.

You're not going to believe the irony of this but the episode I watched was the episode that introduced the character of Virgil to the show. I didn't remember the episode all that clearly and really enjoyed it. Imagine my surprise when 5 minutes after I finished watching this episode on DVD, I turned into the show only to see the return of Virgil! I couldn't believe the coincidence!

Just loved tonight's BURN NOTICE, of course. Any time Michael enacts a character apart from himself to fool the opposition, it always tickles me to death. Jeffrey Donovan is SUPERB in this show! What a showcase for him!

Tomorrow I will be watching the Blu-ray of THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS. It's CRAMMED with bonus material, too.

Re: Tonight's "Big Brother" eviction and new HOH!

Well, well, well, well, well.  Things are VERY interesting.  I like both results.  But now we'll see what we'll see.

I also enjoyed the results of BB10, although I don't know who won the HOH yet...you must be getting the live feed or something.

As long as it isn't Michelle who won, then I am happy.

And speaking of Big Brother, in this case season 9's Natalie...she had her grand opening of her art gallery tonight at 7pm. I was going to attend but I was so friggin tired by the time I got off of work that I just flopped onto the couch and and went right to sleep!

I wanted to get to meet her, but since we live in the same town I suppose I will run into her soon or later.

Now to go finish watching Babs and Rod in THE LOCKED DOOR (1929). I certainly enjoyed the first half.

Good Evening!

I'm back from Nudists In Love...

I had a good time.  Is it the next "Great American Musical"?  No.  But it might be the next "Great Fringe Festival Show".  I will say the only major quibble I had with the show is the title.  It sets up certain expectations - and the wrongs ones - at least for me.  The show deals with a lot more than just nudists and nudity.  Otherwise, it was well cast, well sung, and well played.

I'm awake with scratchy eyes.  I fear this may mean the start of the dreaded Fall allergy season.

Thanks for the theatre report, DR JoseSPiano!

You're welcome, DR singdaw.

I'd actually say more about the show itself, but I think the website give just the right amount of information without spoiling it.  -And all I can think of to write about would be spoilers.  So...  :-X

Well, there was some report on the news earlier today stating that this Fall allergy season will be worse than normal for two reasons.  Alas, since I never saw the report itself - just the teaser - I don't know what those two reasons are.  ;)

Back from Sharon McNight's show, about which more later.  I had a nice piece of salmon with a tiny bit of hollandaise on it, a little bit of rice, and some green beans, so I think that's a reasonable meal, given my two poached egg breakfast.
