FROU FROU
« on: August 29, 2008, 12:18:59 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes had only the smallest bit of frou frou, so small, in fact, that we only really had frou, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they don't care about frou frou because they've got moo moo.

This is BK's new CD:

I enjoyed the sample tracks on Amazon.  Quite lush...not to be confused with a lush, mind you. ;)

Well, I'm off to bed.  This afternoon, I'm going with my friend Margo and her kids to a baseball game in Tacoma.  She got free tickets and has an extra, so I'm going...free is good.  It'll be fun. :)

Morning all. I'm up and ready to go to the airport. My flight doesn't leave untill early afternoon but I'm a morning person so I'm up and ready (as I just said). I probably won't post again until I get to Fort Atkinson.

I don't have an iPod and I gave up Walkmans years ago so I'm not listenin' to nuttin' I'll read the New York Times at the airport and I'll continue reading my book, Thirty Days Hath November by the late, great Walter Kerr.

That's it from my end of the pond.

Do any of the New Yorkers know of William Michaels? He is the cover for Emile DeBeque in the South Pacific and will be going on for 8 performances. He does opera and musical theater

I wonder if DR Ginny and DH Richard will be seeing Paulo Szot or William Michaels?

Friday morning greetings!  As usual, I slept better the second night here than I had the first.

As for South Pacific, I am totally prepared for replacements, this being a holiday weekend.  Surely they won't replace the 30-piece orchestra or the exquisite set?

I'm very excited about seeing South Pacific tonight, but my strong second choice would to be in LA to see Vanities with BK.  I loved that play back in its day and hope the musical does it justice and is very successful.

Good morning, all! I'm a bit head-achey at the moment:  When I was released from hospital last night, all I had to eat were a couple of boiled eggs, and I awoke three times during the night:
   1.  1:59 am, bathroom break
   2.  3:30 am, stomach cramps
   3.  5:30 am, hungry and head-achey so I got up and had about half a cup of cranberry juice and a slice of whole wheat bread; there's nothing in the refrigerator beyond that, a gallon of water, and 3 eggs at the moment.

I'm about to step over to Cafe 82 for breakfast and then I'll call my doctor to see if I can get in today and see if he wants to rethink some prescriptions. Since I would swear that he never told me I was diabetic, although he must have said something like "metformin to control your blood sugar" and I missed the subtext, I'm looking into diabetes testing kits; my cousin Sue demanded to know why he hadn't given me one or suggested I purchase one.

TOD - As I'd requested, DH Richard got The 39 Steps from NetFlix, 'cause I wanted to see it before we saw the stage production here.  It arrived Monday or Tuesday while I was at work, and we didn't have time to watch it either evening before leaving early Wednesday morning.

Oh, well, we're seeing it at the Cort tomorrow evening anyway and will watch the movie when we get home.
