DR MattH - What are your local weather people saying about this coming weekend in regards to Hurricane Hannah?

They're saying now that it won't get to us until Saturday afternoon and will go to the east of Charlotte.

Thank you, DR Vixmom. No, I'm not at all familiar with that. Was that a national program or regional?

It may have been regional. I know it was filmed in New York... I was very excited when they said my name on my birthday... I was probably 6 or 7 at the time.....

Whew!  So, I should at least be safe for my trip down on Friday morning.

*However, is the next storm due in on Monday (when I head back to NYC)? :-\

I only got three more MEDIUM episodes watched. That means I'll have six more to do tomorrow. But, with no BURN NOTICE tomorrow night, I should be able to get them finished.

Urgent - Important for a dear dear relative of mine -

Does anyone have a written version of the instructions for doing the maneuver with the head and chins that minimizes the appearance of the double/triple/quadruple chin when being photographed?

Or can someone write it up in some way?

I tried to explain it and just could not do so effectively.

Included in those three was the sad two part episode concerning Anjelica Huston's missing daughter. I loved the episode with its surprises, but the ending seemed a cheat, an easy end to the story that didn't involve Allison or the others finding some way to trap that scheming girl.

I did skim through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. Nothing, but the boys are on tomorrow's show.

Next I watched the season premiere of BONES. Enjoyable but a very scattered episode with several things I was irritated by.

The new assistant (Edison) who replaced Zack was also featured in last year's season finale where he claimed he was gay. In tonight's show, he was talking about the string of girls he was sleeping with. Don't these folks watch their own show? Well, a moot point since it appeared he quit at the end of the show.

I got very irritated with the whole subplot with Angela and Hodgins, especially the nonsensical ending breaking them up. Didn't follow the logic of the breakup AT ALL.

I'll be glad to have them back in America. I did like some of Booth's comic irritation at doing things differently in England, and I was sad to see a potential long distance boy friend for Tempi killed off. But the mysteries were OK.

PROJECT RUNWAY. No question that the person sent packing deserved to go. I was cheering when it was announced.

As for the winner, I think I liked the third place finisher the best (black and yellow), but I had no real problem with the winner who also had a lovely, chic gown.

The Chin Maneuvers - that's the title of my next novel.  I had some snacks from Gelson's - fruit, rice cakes, and a tiny bit of crab salad from the salad bar - nothing terrible - the fruit (a nectarine and a peach) were very filling, though.

Jose - Based on this most recent exchange with your mom, it is becoming more and more clear that - at least in terms of sense of direction - I am channeling your mother.  What your mom said sounded like exactly what i would have said in response to what you said (especially the Burger King part).

Hmm...this looks like something similar, but not quite it.

HOW TO LOOK 10 LBS THINNER IN 5 MINUTES OR LESS

TIP #1 -- How To Eliminate A Double Chin
Eliminating double chins or excess skin under the chin is simple.
When you’re the photographer, all you have to do is raise the camera – get up higher so you see less of your subject’s neck.
When you’re the model, you have two options:
1) Tilt your chin upward and lean forward.  This will stretch the skin under the chin.
2) Position yourself (or your model) with one shoulder away from the camera, while turning the head to look back at the camera.  This will slim down body mass.  It’ll also flex muscles in the neck, making it appear more slim and youthful.
