DR George have you managed to find an appointment to be vaccinated?

I signed up to be notified by Kaiser, so I haven't otherwise looked...yet.

As I have mentioned, except for one person, the people I know with Kaiser took months before receiving an offer for vaccinations.  Our neighbors didn't wait that long and went elsewhere. 

I think a lot depends on which area you live in.

I would one of the people is at your Kaiser.  There is a good chance they finally on schedule.

Kate can get vaccinated in Illinois, however, Chicago is behind schedule.

I got an appointment for Thursday (two days from now) at 2:28!  It's for the Johnson & Johnson single-dose vaccine.

Wonderful.  Did Kaiser just send you a notice to book an appointment?  I figured it would be the single-dose since it is what my friend in Olympia got.

I just booked an appointment.  It's at the Thurston County Fair Grounds, so I know where that is, and I stay in my car, so it should be quite easy.

Got a creepy flick on tonight called Rent-A-Pal. I'm sort of enjoying it.

My sister's boyfriend chose to go up to Renton twice to get his two shots.

Was that close to an hour drive?  If you care which vaccination you get that makes sense.  They might decide to do a long drive for Kate, if they can book something for her.

The mask mandate ended to day in Indiana.  Several counties opted to keep it in place.....and some places such as hospitals and schools still MUST wear.

I will continue to wear mine until I feel comfortable not doing so.

I suspect I'll be wearing a mask for some time. Last week I was at the hairdresser's and there was a woman, maskless. Everyone else was wearing a mask. She made the comment that she can sit next to anyone because she's been vaccinated. She may be OK, but what about those around her? She appeared to have no concern for anyone but herself. I may have to change my appointment day because she's there every week for her manicure and I don't wish to be around her.

Did California change the rules about wearing masks inside?

Two new perks up. A postcard-sized repro of the movie one sheet for Angel, starring Marlene Dietrich. Signed in pen by Miss Dietrich and really reasonably priced to boot. Framed and double matted and ready to hang.

Second perk is an oil painting of Miss Gloria Swanson, also very reasonably priced and beautifully framed and ready to hang. It hung originally in Wattles Mansion in Hollywood and now it can hang in your handy-dandy home.

So, definitely making the Blu-ray - commentary on Tonight's the Night - we have to go higher to do Outside the Box commentary, but I'm hoping we'll be able to do it. And, the Kimmel Movie Marathon trailer and for the first time anywhere EVER the uncut version of the Dirty Harry Strikes Back faux trailer from The Creature Wasn't Nice. To refresh: In my original cut of the film I hadn't included it at all, but when we did the DVD I was able to grab it from the DVD and put it in, but that version is severely truncated - literally, no one has seen the original. I would have put it on but I had no idea I'd ever actually done a transfer from the 16mm copy I had made and who knows where THAT is. But I had, I have it now, Marshall cleaned it up and on it will go and everyone will finally see it uncut and with the great Kenneth Tobey's performance (he was the star of the original The Thing).

Yup.  The Johnson and Johnson.  I haven't been keeping track of the different (potential) side effects of the different vaccines, so it'll be what it'll be.

No. And there were signs that mask-wearing was mandatory.

Did you ask why they permitted her to break the rules?   If you change your appointment day I suggest making sure the situation will not be repeated with another maskless client.
