Tuesday evening greetings! We are back from a lovely long Easter weekend in Wheaton, Illinois, with Charlotte and her parents. She’s almost 10 months old, thinking about walking and talking and I could not stop looking at her. She’s not much for being held but didn’t mind when I did. We’re looking forward to going back for her birthday in June.

This ID.me situation us ridiculous. They've accepted my drivers l9cense but claim the photo of my passport will not read. Then they tried to scan my face, which was a failure topo many times, so IU remain in goddamned limbo with them. I'm closing shop and planning my attack tomorrow. Color me really pissed off.

I went to bed quite late last night. I had some indigestion, took something for it, then curled up with my book until the discomfort passed. Then, of course, I didn't want to put down the book. But it was lovely to sleep through the night with no earthquakes.

I am waaaayyyy behind in technology matters these days. I learned that there are loads of tutorials on YouTube, explaining a lot of this stuff. I plan to avail myself of some of them. I tend to forget about YouTube stuff, unless it's Kritzerland.

I just booked an appointment. It's at the Thurston County Fair Grounds, so I know where that is, and I stay in my car, so it should be quite easy.

I suspect I'll be wearing a mask for some time. Last week I was at the hairdresser's and there was a woman, maskless. Everyone else was wearing a mask. She made the comment that she can sit next to anyone because she's been vaccinated. She may be OK, but what about those around her? She appeared to have no concern for anyone but herself. I may have to change my appointment day because she's there every week for her manicure and I don't wish to be around her.
