Well, you've read the notes, the notes had both apples and honey for a sweet New Year, and now it is time for you to post until the apples and honey cows come home.

DR George - thanks for a shot finally of the collage for your Dad. It looks wonderful, and like it was done with care and love.

For some strange reason, today's topic reminds me of Amy Irving, Richard Dreyfuss, and Lee Remick in

TOD: The Ravel in G, especially for that
dreamy
slow middle movement.

TOD: The Bernstein
Age of Anxiety
, which bk mentioned. It's called his Symphony No 2, but it's really a piano concerto. The masque movement near the end is a wonder.

TOD: There are a number of wonderful piano/orchestra pieces by Howard Hanson that don't quite rise to the level of concerto that are nonetheless wonderful.
Mosaics
being one.

I forgot to set the alarm last night and overslept. I remain amazed the cats did not rebel.

I am not sure what I want to do or feel like doing today. I should do laundry, but I'm not feeling up to it at the moment.

I never would have guessed that my day would begin with what sounds like the first round of a tax evasion charge for our beloved
Adolph
Donny. A bad day for the Trumps is like a vacation at the beach for me.

(from August 22, 2020)
Tchaikovsky: Piano Concerto No. 1 in B-flat minor
Grieg: Piano Concerto in A-minor
Ravel: Piano Concerto in G
Gershwin: Piano Concerto in F
Today I will add this.
There are a couple of piano and orchestra pieces of which I am also fond:

Monday morning greetings! I signed in early to look at the photos DR George posted last night and thought I’d say hello. I’m so glad the weekend went smoothly for George’s family and that they found comfort in being together.

My baby brother......has announced that he will be a grandfather late this year....for the first time.
His son Grant & his wife Linsie will be having a son.
They are having a drive by shower at the Park in Greencastle on Saturday.
