When coming to or leaving NYC always request driver Guda. You will never be disappointed. Best driver I ever had.

Desperately in need of AC, I was pleased to find a movie I wanted to see playing near me. I saw GENIUS WITHIN: the Inner Life of Glenn Gould. I loved it. I believe it will air on PBS, if not cable, if it hasn't already. I then had an early dinner at one of BK's former faves, Delores'.

I keep forgeting to ask Ginny how she and Richard are enjoying their Kindles.

DR TCB - Richard bonded right away with his Kindle, but I was engrossed in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo in print form and just finished it on Friday.  I've been reading a Cleo Coyle mystery on my Kindle and think I'll like it a lot.

Did my jog and started a third movie, but I think I'll choose a shorter one, as I'll probably go to bed early tonight.

I forgot to mention that I also found the original London cast recording of Cabaret with Judi Dench on LP for $1.00. I snatched it up (I've heard tracks from it but never the entire recording) and Anthony will transfer it to CD for me.

It was, of course, released on CD briefly - I have it.

Me, too! I could have burned you a CD, DR Ben!

I ended up going to my friend Chris' apartment and we watched the Disney animated ALICE IN WONDERLAND, which always makes me laugh. Chris had never seen it so we had a good time. I've got a whole lsit of films I want to see at the moment, aso perhaps later in the week we will go see a movie.

Whew! What a day. Busy busy busy....laundry, company for coffee, cleaning up a mess of dirt that let water get in the basement, off to home depot, off to the store, cooking a great vegetable beef soup, making apple crisp...yum yum yum

So our Lima congregation welcomed a new baby last December and Fr. Richard performed her dedication ceremony on Easter Sunday.  Today she walked up the aisle after church and right into my arms.

I've become convinced that the Katy perry - Sesame Street thing is a concoction of some publicist's mind.  :)

Have I shared my quickie one-minute-each parodies here yet?

"Katy Perry & Sesame Street" parody theme song - She Brought "Sex" to Sesame Street

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvb4pODL9rw

"Rainbow Connection" parody - "Cash Flow Connection" - about how they seem to be capitalizing on whatever the Katy Perry controversy is when appearing on all the talk shows hawking the new season of Sesame Street; when's the last time "everyone" cared about a new Sesame Street season starting?

tonight  our church hosted a barbeque and concert with Christian Hip Hop singer Agape - the vixter belongs to a youth group at a church other than our own so she wrangled an invitation for her group tto attend - several other churches came  and there wewre proabbaly about 100 - 125 kids

the singer was inspirational, uplifting and fun - he held the kids in the palm of his hand - and all the adult chaperones as well

I am so glad I went along

Well, she's pretty wobbly so her parents have a few weeks before they really have to batten down the hatches!

I doubt I'll be here tomorrow.  After my morning walk with Sherlock I'll barely have time to call and wish DS Craig a happy birthday before heading out to PT, followed by errands & a doctor's appointment.
