BTW, I didn't know until today that there are people at work that don't have a klew what Clue is!

We were having a meeting in the room they call the library and I happened to say that I thought Mr. Green did it in the library with the lead pipe.  Some people said, "huh?".  They didn't get the reference at all!  Wow! :o

JRand, did you get your Lightfoot?
I only have it on vinyl. I could make an mp3 of that, but I think it will be too big to send via email.

DR Rodz, you broke the 1K barrier!  I'm close to 2K myself.

I watched an odd film this evening entitled AGGIE APPELEBY: MAKER OF MEN from 1933. I find you can't go wrong watching movies from 1933.

Zasu Pitts is quite good in it.

Zasu Pitts--I've seen her in many a flick but I know absolutely nothing about her life or career as a whole.

Now you are just 9 posts away from 2k, so you should do a Top 9 of some sort or list the starting lineup of your favorite baseball players by position.

I've only seen a little Zasu. Pretty unique persona, but I too know nothing about her life. I know there was a band from San Francisco that called themselves The Zasu Pitts Memorial Orchestra.

I'm trying to come up with an anagram for Zasu Pitts but I'm coming up short.

Just noticed the text beneath your photo. Is that a reference to the strange TV film with Robert Reed, Andy Griffith, Marjoe Gortner and Angie Dickinson?

Yes!  I've been waiting for someone to pick up on that.

I don't really remember much about that particular ABC Movie of the Week except for Angie in the preview spewing "Pray for the Wildcats, baby!"

"Pray For the Wildcats" always stuck with me since I caught it late one night in my teens. Shatner is in it too, come to think of it. Griffith plays these guys boss, and he makes them go on a weekend motorcycle trek. He's a brute and is seeing how far he can push the guys, and they put up with it since he's the boss. Then he molests some woman. I mean, not the type of fare you want to see Andy Griffith, Captain Kirk and Mike Brady in!

I remember Angie delivers that title line, staring at the guys as they ride away on their bikes, and it is mega-corny.

Not quite TOTD but I have just finished reading the very funny "Aberystwyth Mon Amour".  Funniest book I've read in years.  Probably since Tom Sharpe's books.
