It is interesting to hear the Democrats invoking Ronald Regan and his "tear down this wall" speech.

Well DR CILLA LIZ....Mars did enter Gemini today so our dualities will be warring and struggling which would make for some interesting dreams.

With the end of the Jupiter retrograde it's full speed ahead with re-vamped or new plans and time of positive energy for any changes you made in the last eight weeks.

Do not be argumentative today lest you negate any positive steps you take.  If you win a battle - quit - and fight the war another day.

I think in general people believe something needs to done, it's the what that is a bit difficult.

Wonder what would happen if all the "irregular" workers in all the Meat Packing plants suddenly up and left?

Oh, yes. I particularly like his duck confit. But he never cooked this.

Oy, the massive amounts of cords behind my computer and television hook ups always make me anxious...I can't stand to even look at them.

Ditto.

Well, I am back from my morning travels with a delicious Peach Melba Cake in one hand and TEN-count 'em-TEN Elvis Presley movies on dvd!  Sneer if you want to, but, I love me some frothy Elvis musicals.  Say what you will, I think TICKLE ME is a fun, fun flick.  And then there's STAY AWAY, JOE, which all of us at HHW know that a certain colorful Broadway musical was based on the same source.

A wall won't solve the problem .. what the average American doesn't get (since so many of us have no idea what it is like to live with nothing) is that these folks are desperate to put food on the table -- desperate people will find a way -- and will attempt anything to get here to make a dog's wages, so a wall?  There are plenty of ways to get over, under and around a wall....I'd rather we spend that wall time and money on finding a way to really help these folks -- we should be working with, putting pressure on, whatever, the Mexican government to help its people -- talk about a polarized country between the haves and have nots ... you're either super rich, or dirt poor.  Instead of shutting the door on these folks, we should remember they are our neighbors and whatever issues they are dealing with will always impact our country whether we help them or look the other way ... my 2 cents' worth...

Just got some disappointing news from my office... Looks like the very promising project for next spring has fallen through already. They've already offered me another project for the fall, which I'm mildly considering, but part of me's just not interested.

Well, I thought they were. I put in the order .... oh dear, I just checked the list and saw where DR FJL was this month's HHW Birthday Gift Delivery Person ... ummmm, geesh, I don't know what to tell you ... well, take comfort in the fact that SOMEONE enjoyed your chocolates and flowers, even if it wasn't you ....

...and remember it's the thought that counts. I was thinking about you, and flowers and chocolates were attempted ... Happy Day anyway!

JRAND, is there something going on in the stars.  It seems many of us have had disturbing dreams lately. I know the one I had yesterday morning right before I woke up is still bothering me

I was thinking the same thing.

well, here's a thought:

Quote
The US government on Monday announced a new package of military aid for Israel, Egypt and other Middle Eastern countries to counter the influence of Iran and Syria in the region. US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said the United States was launching a 10-year, 30-billion-dollar programme in military assistance for Israel, and a 10-year, 13-billion-dollar plan for Egypt.

If we cut that in half (both sides still retain parity), we could have a 10 year 21.5 billion dollar ecconomic improvement program for Mexico!

As an aside, I've spent years living in SoCal where they have the largest density of "illegal" immigrants - funny thing tho, I was never approached by an hispanic pan-handler, and the homeless incampments are mainly black and white. White men pan-handle at freeway ramps, Mexicans sell oranges or flowers.
