Well DR CILLA LIZ....Mars did enter Gemini today so our dualities will be warring and struggling which would make for some interesting dreams.

With the end of the Jupiter retrograde it's full speed ahead with re-vamped or new plans and time of positive energy for any changes you made in the last eight weeks.

Do not be argumentative today lest you negate any positive steps you take.  If you win a battle - quit - and fight the war another day.

Thanks for the advice, JRAND. I've noticed that so many of the projects that were doing so nicely in May seemed to just fall apart over the last two months. I do hope that things straighten themselves out now!

A wall won't solve the problem .. what the average American doesn't get (since so many of us have no idea what it is like to live with nothing) is that these folks are desperate to put food on the table -- desperate people will find a way -- and will attempt anything to get here to make a dog's wages, so a wall?  There are plenty of ways to get over, under and around a wall....I'd rather we spend that wall time and money on finding a way to really help these folks -- we should be working with, putting pressure on, whatever, the Mexican government to help its people -- talk about a polarized country between the haves and have nots ... you're either super rich, or dirt poor.  Instead of shutting the door on these folks, we should remember they are our neighbors and whatever issues they are dealing with will always impact our country whether we help them or look the other way ... my 2 cents' worth...

Like you, MISS KAREN, I'm in the a-wall-won't-help camp. I like to see win-win solutions. Low-wage labor, which Mexico has aplenty, is beneficial to many industries. Many of the illegals would like to stay near their families--they're just trying to earn a living.

RE: the question of when was the first time you went to NYC.

I think it was 1994 or 1995. When did SUNSET BLVD start?

I know I saw that and MISS SAIGON.

And like DR Jane, I was shocked at the way the cars used their horns. I have never heard so much honking in my life!

I do love me some autoharp, especially when played by the Lovin' Spoonful's John Sebastian!

Supposedly there is now an anti-honking ordinance.

I remember the second time I was there, working on a movie and living at the Wellington, we were editing near Times Square. Every day, at around 5PM, there would be a huge gridlock and cabs laying on their horns. Why????

Well, I thought they were. I put in the order .... oh dear, I just checked the list and saw where DR FJL was this month's HHW Birthday Gift Delivery Person ... ummmm, geesh, I don't know what to tell you ... well, take comfort in the fact that SOMEONE enjoyed your chocolates and flowers, even if it wasn't you ....

I guess that explains DF Skip's message that tonight we will be supping on chocolates while enjoying the delicate floral scents of the secret garden oasis formerly known as the dining area.  It should be fabulous!   ;D

The phone rang at eight.  I picked up the one in the bedroom - nada.  I picked up two others - nada.  Then I realized it was the "house" phone, the one that lets people in the front door, but by the time I got to it it had stopped.  I went back to bed, but then the doorbell rang and it was some guy asking if I wanted an exterminator this morning.  I bit my tongue and merely said no.
At least it wasn't some guy saying he was delivering a candygram.

Julie, here are George's instructions from August of 2004 (what a coincidence, it's almost 3 years to the date that he posted them originally)

Just so that it's here on the Technical Board:

Quote from: Jane on August 05, 2004, 09:02:13 PM
How do you do that?

Type WITH NO SPACES WHATSOEVER:

    * an open bracket
    * then "url=" (without the quotes)
    * then the actual URL
    * then close bracket
    * then type what you want to show, in this case "CLICK HERE" and you can have all the spaces you want at this point
    * then another open bracket
    * then "/url"
    * then a close bracket

I added spaces here so that it won't work and you can see the construction:

[url = http : // www .the_url_goes_here. com]Type what you want to show[ / url]

So, when it all works, you get this:  CLICK HERE.

And what I usually like to do is make it BOLD so that it stands out!

Or you can make bold and CHANGE THE COLOR!

If you don't want to do all that typing you can also copy the Web address you want to link to, go to the Reply box, paste in the link, highlight it and then press the Globe up on the Function Bar. This will do most of the work for you, you then only have to change/add a few things to make it appear the way you want to look.

I have trouble doing this in Firefox. It doesn't seem to work so I only do it in IE.

If you use the Globe then all you have to do is change the second bracket to an equal sign and and one bracket to the end of the Web address. If you then want to heighten the text (adding bold or changing colors) you can highlight JUST the part you want to heighten (like DerBrucer's Size Matters) and then press B for Bold or go up to the color box and choose your color. You can use all the different effects you want, for example you can make something bold and a different color and italics. You just have to highlight and press the corresponding button for each effect that you want to use. Some of the color choices don't read well on screen (I find yellow and pink difficult to look at) but you can't see them until after you've posted. If you don't like your choices you can use Modify and go back to the post and take out your effects.

He is horrendously bloated. I am trying to keep the images of him healthy in my mind. I know he is dying but I also do not want to have the memories of him horribly bloated to taint the good memories. Am I being selfish?

Not at all and I'm sure he prefers you keep happier images of him.  I know how  difficult this is.  I wish I could help, but as those of us you have already walked your path we know there isn't much that can be done.

Wishing you and your family peaceful vibes and thinking of you.
