They tried to do a live action version of THE TICK some years ago (Patrick Warburton - perfect casting - played The Tick), but it only ran half a season as a midseason replacement.

It's her recipe.

Well, we did have a quick shower, but it was over in a few minutes, and now the streets are practically dry again! Amazing!

I cleaned the dining room this morning, so that chore is done. I guess I'll head down and read another chapter in THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE. It's SO good.

Thanks for the cold/sleeping advice Jane. I have been sleeping propped up, almost sitting but to no avail. Also I'm a tummy sleeper so it makes it almost as difficult for me to fall asleep this way. Tonight I'm going to see if a Ny-Quil cough and humidifier combo works. It's now been over a week since I've slept more than 1-2 hours at a stretch.

HELSINKI (Reuters) - A Finnish squirrel, with a sweet tooth heads to a Finnish grocery shop at least twice a day to steal "Kinder Surprise" chocolate-shelled eggs.

"I named it FJLThe Kinder-Squirrel, after the treats. It always goes after them, other sweets do not seem to interest it as much," the manager of the store in Jyvaskyla, central Finland, told Reuters.

The confectionary, which is intended for children, has a toy inside.

"It removes the foil carefully, eats the chocolate and leaves the store with the toy," Irene Lindroos said.

Unfortunately, the bushy-tailed thief does not clean up after itself, but leaves the wrappers behind, she added.

Squirrels have a well deserved reputation for being clever and adaptable animals. Many a home owner has seen the small rodents raiding their supposedly "squirrel-proof" bird feeders

Wednesday night whilst at Legally Blonde, Rodzinski and I saw DR Jason selling programs. We didn't get one, but Rodzinski did get me the lovely "Bruiser in a purse" stuffed animal.

And on Sunday evening, on our way to the subway after having dinner with my roommate and friend, we ran across Jose, Elmore and BK who had just had dinner at Joe Allen's.

I just received a call from the casting folks and have an audition for the Brain on Wednesday. Hopefully I will be able to sing without breaking down into hacking coughs. Either way, it will be an interesting experience.

I can't watch this at work. :( I'll have to wait until I get home.

DR MusicGuy ~ You must post a photo (actually photos) of your new casa. Inquiring HHWers want to know what it looks like....Where did you put those cool art deco lamps?

Remember when I told week before last about the oven element exploding and prompting DH Richard to call the fire department?  Well, today the not-so-lonely Maytag repairman came to look at both our stove and our washing machine.  He fixed the washer, but said, "Don't even think about plugging this stove in."  So, a couple of hours ago, I plunked down the ol' credit card for a new stove, which will be delivered Wednesday.  The new stove and the old refrigerator won't match, but the fridge will probably be the next to go, so we can match them up then.  At least when we get ready to sell this house, we can say "practically new appliances."  ::)

Hi dear Ms. Karen..... It is a little too chaotic and unpacked yet to take any photos.  But the 2 deco hanging fixtures are safely in the garage.  Their possible new location is still very undecided.

I'm dealing with far more practical matters, like, where are my Calphalon sauce pans??

DR TPunk - to get rid of the cough I had when DH Richard and I were in NYC last month required 2 trips to the doctor and a shot of a steroid called Kenalog.  The improvement after that shot was almost immediate.

Whatever, best audition vibes for Wednesday!

STRESSLESS VIBES TO DR DAKOTA CELT!

My plans for the day include picking up a sumptuous, decadent cake from the best bakery in town, picking up my Elvis boxed set (plus the individual releases of THIS IS ELVIS, VIVA LAS VEGAS, JAILHOUSE ROCK etc); Dixie Bell and I have already had a wet morning walk.  Later in the week I shall dine at a fine Indian restaurant  - Jane, if you're listening, it's close to the campuses.

If only I had read farther before wishing TCB a happy birthday.  In my defense, I don't have the best eye sight & I was rushing to to leave for puppy training class.  Sherlock does the best COMES  ;D, in class anyway. ;D

Please tell me the names of the best bakery & the Indian restaurant.

I too am wondering about the outcome and/or possibilities from today's auditions.  Pearls of wisdom are needed from dear Esteemed BK ....

And I want to hear dear DR Jose's observations on what people brought with them, and all of that stuff.  Jo jo, enquiring minds want to know.  ::)
