My blueberry pie, continued:  Years ago I worked with a woman who was somewhat of a food snob and thought graham cracker crusts were low-class.  The week after I'd taken my version in to work (to glowing reviews from everyone else), she brought the same thing made with a pastry crust.  It just wasn't the same.

I love graham cracker crusts- way more than pastry crusts.

Dinner is a cooking.  Chicken legs/thighs in an Italian sweet and sour sauce.

I don't know what happened to the leg of lamb I thought we had in the freezer downstairs.  Maybe we ate it already.   :-\

This means, tomorrow I'm going to have to do some shopping.

Back from the gym. I know that if I start working out regularly again it won't be such a drag, but it's really hard to get motivated in this hot, humid weather.

Than I'm positive you will enjoy HOT FUZZ!  Keep your expectations low though, nothing like too high of expectations to ruin a movie.  Hmmm...I wonder if that is why Keith disliked ONCE so much.

I'm afraid I wasn't crazy about it either, unlike everyone else I know!

Maybe it was because I was married to a songwriter/musician for 13 years?

I am wondering how today's auditions went. And about the actress.

I keep thinking we will hear something soon, before I sign off for the night.

My roommate and I are cat sitting our friend's two siamese mix kittens. They enjoy, eating out of Killbot's dish, using Killbot's box, fishing "toys" out of the trash, stealing food off of our plates, and making cute faces that cancel out all of the above.

I know what you mean, TPunk.  I think it was 68 degrees here today.

Or maybe because the music wasn't very good.  ;D

It did seem very repetitive to me, but I guess that was part of the "reality" of it.

TPunk, cute.  How does Killbot feel about the kittens?

She alternates between being irritated by them and being curious/wanting to join in their play.

My first set of auditions went very well this morning.  And I have to give major props to the actor/singers who came in this morning to sing High-Bs!  "For Goooooooooooood's sake" -Later, Henrik.

-And I also have to thank, DR elmore, for loaning me his piano/vocal score for A Little Night Music since I could not find my copy here.

As for The Brain auditions...

-The studio was nice, but cold!!!!!!.  I was OK, since I had worn jeans and a long-sleeve shirt, but as the day went one, others in room had to don jackets... or just shiver.  ;)

-For the most part, a good batch of auditionees.  No real clunkers, and some very entertaining ones.

-And, as always, a lot of friends came into the room.  Lots of hugs.  :)

-I'll leave any of the "details" to bk and DR elmore.

Hi dear Ms. Karen..... It is a little too chaotic and unpacked yet to take any photos.  But the 2 deco hanging fixtures are safely in the garage.  Their possible new location is still very undecided.

I'm dealing with far more practical matters, like, where are my Calphalon sauce pans??

Has Jose been in the vicinity?

Watched tonight's Closer and enjoyed blueberry pie with my DH  and DS - now I'm going to bed.  Ask me how much I don't want to get up early for work tomorrow...

And now I'm just sitting here in my living room, quasi-watching TV and posting.  And I'm probably going to head to bed a bit earlier tonight - I'm tired.  We shall see...

DR MusicGuy - Good to hear that you're continuing to get settled.  As for your Calphalon pans, well... I have a couple new, still-in-the-box Calphalon One pieces, a broiler pan, and tapas dishes if you can't find yours.  ;)
