After today's new notes went up, I was planning on posting something, but before I got to, I fell asleep with the TV and my bedroom lights on!  The sound was on the TV was down, so it didn't wake me.  I didn't wake up until my alarm went off at 10:00 am.

I needed to get up today because I'm going to be the [temporary(?)/assistant(?)] treasurer for the Olympia chapter of PFLAG and they had a board meeting today.  I was officially voted into the position.

After the meeting, my sister, niece and I went to our parents' house for our weekly family dinner.  We played two games of Phase 10, and I lost both times.  Now I'm home and have been for a couple of hours.

Latest news in the whirlwind musical life of Yrs Truly:  First gig scheduled for 2018 is programming and playing the synth book for a one-week production of a show in which some people enter a forest.  Interestingly enough (or not), 'twill be my first time to actually play said show.

It's at a Catholic high school in New Haven.  West Haven, actually, if the truth must be known.  And it must, it must.  Interesting about the schools up here.  They're all pretty good venues for short term musical gigs, they have budgets and pay as well as or better than some other organizations, every musician I know has a school or two up his sleeve, and the schools are contracting earlier and earlier each year for the musicians they want to play in their shows.  Cutthroat, man.  This one's good for me because one of their regular people has a conflict so it gets me in the door in a region that's pretty lucrative and where a lot of good people play.

Congrats on the new gig, ChasSmith!

My laptop is telling me that SMF is having connection problems, so I am thinking it is on Bruce's end for a change.
