Ohh....and on the TOD.....the opening of Ragtime....makes the movie so trivial....and will we ever see a show so "produced" like that again?.....(if not production wise.....cast wise.....(and I never SAW it)....but it's plays so well on disc

Speaking of today's title of the notes, didn't Mae West in her autobiography claim to have invented the shimmy? And didn't Gloria Swanson say SHE invented it? Or am I hopelessly muddled?

I think it was Dorothy Rodgers. Or was that the Johnny Mop?

Being a regular poster isn't a chore or responsibility.  It's fun - just like shimmying.  Why don't you tell us a bit about yourself?  We're just one happy little family here.

Well, I'll bite: How did you find our merry little troupe?  I just finished working with someone who lives in Mar Vista - they like it there.

Ann thanks for the lovely Rainbow.  We had a nice rainbow this afternoon which I enjoyed from the warmth of our house.

Goodnight.  Sleep well.

I wish my mug would be white - I've never used it for anything.  But that mug might be white sooner than I think, oh, yes, it might be white sooner than I think.

I think we got us some late-night denizens here, by gum and by golly.

I can tell you that I saw the show with the original cast, and on the Friday night I saw it, that opening number stopped the show cold. There were people standing. It and KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN were definitely my two favorites musicals of the 1990s that I saw. I suspect ASSASSINS would have been the other had I seen the original company. I've seen other productions of ASSASSINS that thrilled me to the depths of my bones, just like those two Broadway shows did.

Good posts are what is the norm around these parts, in my opinion (IMO, in Internet lingo).
