And NetFlix is brilliant. I currently have 470 movies in my queue. Yes...470. :-\

DR Ron Pulliam -

Breathe In.  Breathe out.

Inhale Pink.  Exhale Blue.

Count to 10 slowly.  Backwards.

Have some chocolate.

Drink a cup of herbal tea.

Or just hop on the HHW Time Machine!

I believe I was supposed to post this a couple of days ago...

Someone was interested in a website where they could purchase blank DVDs on sale. Here it is: www.meritline.com.

Enjoy!

And as for the HHW Time Machine...

-Mozart playing and conducting one of his piano concertos.  -And sneaking in a tape recorder so that I could eventually transcribe his cadenzas.

The first performance of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony.

The first performance of Stravinsky's "Le Sacre du Printemps".  -Did "classical music" audiences really get that rowdy back then?  ;)

-To see what it was like for my parents growing up in the Philippines in the 1940's and 50's... See where I came from.

470 movies!! Well, it probably won't be long before I am there also, DR Jason! In fact I found a few movies that I didn't even know were on DVD...Amazon doesn't even list them! Who knew.

I don't hate work so much as I just hate coming to work. I would rather be home in my robe and slippers drinking coffee and watching movies on TV. How come I can't find a job that will let me do just that? I would find it very fulfilling.

Jason, I don't think I mentioned this earlier but your "production of Annie" by the Paul Bunyan Players had me laughing out loud!

MBarnum: 470 is a bit excessive, I'll admit. Since I'm on the 3-at-a-time plan, it'll be years before I clear out my queue.

I couldn't care less about staying at home at this point. I was so bored yesterday I wanted to die. I just don't ever want to have to talk to these morons on the phone EVER AGAIN! Every teacher in the country got back to school today and apparently realized that they hadn't ordered the materials for their spring musical - all of which seem to be opening in two months.

This is no surprise - they all wait til the last minute and January and February are always the busiest time of year for us. I just don't want to do this anymore. I think 2006 will have to be the year I make my return to acting if for no other reason than to just get the hell out of this place!

God, I didn't think anyone was reading that blog anymore! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I can't wait to see you and Anthony again and hear all the tales of your trip. Please send him my love...

Thanks for the compliments on the new avatar.  In a classic "stroke of vanity", I just wanted to make sure that what I was starting to see in the mirror was really happening, so I set up the self-timer on my camera...  And I think I do see "something".

I certainly see something, you are looking quite svelte!

Tuesday greetings!  It's nice to see so many folks back on the first work day of the new year.

DR Ben - I haven't told you how thrilling it was to read your posts from Dublin and Cardiff, especially about your guest appearance on Beverley's radio program.  I would love to have a CD.

Hoo and Ray. I got a bonus! I shall receive the check on Wednesday, January 11th along with my first paycheck of 2006 (which contains a 5% raise). The bonus, according to the memo was "For consistently above average performance for 2005"

Ginny, you're on the list. I'll have one for you when you arrive in just two short weeks. Me hopes it is the full show, but 35 minutes is better than nuttin'

Happy New Year to everyone. I hate work. Welcome home, Rodzinski & TPunk - how are the kitties?

Back to work...

Hi Jason, thanks for the warm welcome.

We got back into the city yesterday afternoon.  Our flight was delayed about 45 minutes, which was great considering the most ginormous hail storm in the history of man began about 5 minutes prior to our arrival at the airport...

I am glad to be back.  A huuuuugggee thank you to DR Jason for taking care of our kitties.  They were happy and healthy upon our arrival, and they were clearly well cared for in our absence.  Thank you!!

Hi MBarnum, we had a great trip.  Later this week, I'll start to play with Rodzinski's new digital camera to see if we can't post some pics from our trip.

Antonia (TPunk), welcome back! Where did you and Tom/Rod go? We went to Dublin and Cardiff.

Hi Ben, we spent 10 days in Indiana with Tom's family. And 2 day trips to Chicago (Jose, I have some chocolate for you) and Indianapolis (where we had a mini HHW reunion with JRand.

This isn't a Dublin picture but it's a shot. We got back on New Year's Eve and were not especially tired (we got back to the apartment at 7pm) so we went to a party a couple of blocks away. This picture shows you how we looked at midnight with a glass of champagne in my hand. We got the funny noses in Dublin. They were being handed out on the street by a cell phone company called Meteor. You can't tell from the picture but they blink when you put them on your nose.

I'm back at work at GMHC this afternoon.  I almost didn't make it, I woke up with a troubled tummy.  I think I made a poor choice of leftovers last night for dinner...

Oh well, I suppose a day of fasting couldn't hurt after the excess of the last week and a half.  But I am disappointed that I couldn't make it to the gym this morning.  My new year's goal is to start running again.  I'd like to start by running the mile at least once a week, with the goal of increasing the speed and distance over time.
