OK, someone here is bound to know.

A friend of mine (in the Los Angeles area) is taking his wife to see Phantom of the Opera, a matinee since the wife refuses to go out at night.  Antonio wants to know how long the show takes, so that he can plan for dinner after.

Does anyone out there know?  Or have an idea on how I can find out for him?

Thanks.

Do you happen to know when and in which city he'll be seeing Phantom?  My friend, Sean, will soon be taking over the role of Raoul on the tour.

Not sure of when, but they'll be seeing it at the Pantages, Los Angeles.  My guess is this weekend.

DR Jose, it looks like you missed a chance to have Monkey meet Liza at her B&N signing tonight (wristbands are sold out already.)  But that could be your next assignment--Monkey Meets _______?

Well, after attending some of the other events at the Lincoln Center Barnes & Noble, I've learned to stay away from some of the more "popular" ones.  It really does get quite crowded inside the room and outside the room too.

Besides, I'm attending the first preview of The Story of My Life tonight. And I'm really looking forward to that. :)

Liza doing a studio set - would that include a Murphy bed she could pull down for when she gets tired?

I've been reading "Second Act Trouble" by Steven Suskin, and have been enjoying it so far.  However, it's sending my cast album addiction into overdrive!  Does anyone have the LP "Inner City'?  It played for a short time in 1972-1973.

Oh.. Monkey doesn't seem to do well around other people.  He was actually a bit shy when we met one of the administrators from the Museum of Modern Art yesterday afternoon.

However, he was quite happy and excited when he found out that some of his "portraits" will be incorporated into MoMA's redesign of their website(!!). :) :) :)

Don't worry, he just wants to take over the computer.  The world is still safe... for now.

Well, I suppose if you're an extra who got the gig because you're sleeping with Bob Guccione, anything would be more entertaining.

Those PENTHOUSE pets were sleeping with a lot more folk than Bob Guccione, according to the book on the making of CALIGULA! We sold it at Drama Book Shop. ULTIMATE PORNO was the title.

DR JOSE - I-69 is quite a bit north of my present location.....but most of my county schools have been dismissed early, and we are encouraged to stay home.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DR EDISAURUS!!!!!

Thank you, Mr. Enabler! I just heard a rave review for the production of JCSS at the Alliance. Apparently they've gone less rock and more gospel, so I think that's what we'll do tonight. Plus, there are a lot of seats available so I can get cheap rush tickets. (And you know how we all like a cheap rush!) Hope they don't stray too far from the original music!

DR MATTHEW I have the OCR for INNER CITY......  I haven't hooked up my turntable to my computer since the last crash, so I am not sure it still works.....but if you want a copy, I can try it later tonight.

I still owe DR ELMORE a Dorothy Provine/Joe Carr LP recording.

My problem is that I don't know how to add track breaks....so each side is ONE LONG track....but we shall see what we shall see!

I must tell you Bruce that the recording of "Who Killed Teddy Bear?" is the best.  I still wish you would procuce a solo album of Tami Tappan.  And another of Liz Callaway, and Jason, and Emily Skinner, and....

Thanks for the kitty vibes, too, Jane & DAW. I'm hoping the specialist will call me and will be able to see him soon. If surgery is involved, we may hold off until next month when they have another in-house dentist so we can clean his teeth at the same time instead of putting him under twice. I'm anxious to see what she says about his condition.

And I'm very happy that my vet wasn't offended that I mentioned consulting a specialist. He said "you read my mind!" and gave us a good recommendation.

This is indeed looking like an expensive day, but I'm very happy because if we have a plumber over I can get rid of the hideous hand-painted purple toilet (it used to be pink, which was too much for the previous owner....purple is better?) and ugly sink cabinet, put in the new water heater AND fix this leak thing.  I'm starting to feel like Danise!

On the plus side, I finally got Ticketmaster on the phone and talked to a rational human being who was willing to fix something that was their screw-up. The internet customer service said "Tough luck". Alway better to deal with a human in person!

... and I wanted to warn folks about two scams out there that have been in the news recently:

1. Watch for strange amounts on your credit card bill -- there are scammers out there with bogus company names that put in random account numbers and run a small charge, like 23 cents. If you pay it, then they know they're got a hit, and then will run other, larger amounts. Not to mention what they can make off all the 23 cents that folks pay and don't report since such a small amount tends not to raise a red flag for some folks.

2. This scam was reported on the news last night (and actually happened to me last week). West Credit Union (or some bogus name like that) sent a text message saying there had been questionable activity on my account and to call their number immediately. I was like what the --- I don't use my cell phone number for business stuff and was not familiar with the credit union, so figured they had the wrong number -- but they kept sending the message (glad I have unlimited texting or I'd be really mad).  DH was not familiar with this credit union either.  So if you get a call or a text message from a bogus credit union or bank, the news folks said don't respond -- and as always they ended the report with never give any personal info out over the phone (or when texting).

On the plus side, I get to watch Betty Hutton in the movie THE FLEET'S IN. (So far, I don't think this refers to a product that you find in drugstores...)

Any movie that has Elaine Stritch playing a lesbian must be fun!

Or a Documentary.
