REMAKING A CLASSIC
« on: May 05, 2024, 12:20:35 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were a remake and not a patch on the butt cheeks of the original, and now it is time for you to post until the remade cows come home.

Yesterday, I had a hankerin' for a Taco Del Mar burrito.  The nearest one is in Chehalis, about 22 miles south of where I live, so I filled my car's gas tank with gas and hied myself down the highway to the Chehalis Taco Del Mar.  Well, the "Open" light was lit, but the rest of the place was dark! :o I had checked online before I left and their website said that they were open until 9:00 pm, so WTH??

Well, there was a giant banner on the front of the place saying something like, "Thanks for 19 years! Our last day will be Sunday, May 5!" and then some other stuff that I didn't read.  So, I guess no more Taco Del Mar from Chehalis.  There are three in the Tacoma area that are 35-40 miles away, but I don't know if it'd be worth it to go up there.  I might, if I'm in the area, but I probably wouldn't make the trip just for that. ::)

Today will be the big rehearsal for TAO's The King in Yellow that opens on Friday, and I was supposed to be at the rehearsal being the light board operator, but I got a text from pug the director saying that the lighting designer didn't have his script finished, so I really didn't need to be there, and I can just take the day and celebrate my birthday.  But I had gotten a text earlier from Kris the stage manager, asking what kind of snacky bits I like so that they could all celebrate my birthday, so I told pug that I'll show up anyway, well, for a while, at least, and eat some birthday snacky bits, and maybe watch the show.  My family and a few friends are getting together at 4:00, so that's still happening. :)

I was awake way too early on my day of recovery from shows and commutes. But oh well. The critter has been fed and a cup of coffee is at my side.
