And I refused to agree to assume the responsibility of receiving, addressing and delivering letters/literature for an organization that solicited me over the telephone.

Imagine!  A telephone soliciation in which an organization thanks you for support they could not possibly know about (I gift charities anonymously) and then tells me they're going to send me materials that "I" will be addressing and delivering to my neighbors and friends.   HAH!  I say, "HAH!"  Again, "HAH!"

I DESPISE TELEPHONE SOLICITORS OF EVERY ILK!

I don't think I ever get that far into a phone call from a telemarketer/solicitor.

I will still take another box of records to the shop today---I got $50 in credit for my last box of lps.

Some places take old LPs for credit?? I thought only thrift stores took them--and then, NOT for credit.

DR edisaurus - I really have to Congratulate you on your on-going move, and all the work you've been putting into it.  (Meanwhile, my boxes upon boxes continue to sit in my room gathering dust.)  And it's good to know things worked out with Comcast too.

Hmmm... Isn't the DVD release of that due soon?  -Although, I think it's still playing here in NYC somewhere on the LES.

He is such a mixer and all his cat, dog, and people buddies are outside and he likes to make his social rounds each day to visit Judy and her dog Jack and Gladys and the new couple a few houses down. Plus a new cat friend has been showing up to visit Fred (and Bosco) every morning in the back yard.

Such an outgoing cat! Has he ever thought of having his own website?  ;)

Really glad to hear he's OK.

Well, I should get ready for my matinee (and subsequent evening show).  And I will have a better show today.  I will have a better show today.  I will have a better show today.  I will have a better show today.  I will have a better show today.  Etc., Etc., Etc.,....

TOD:

Humor, it seems to me, is a very personal--and perhaps peculiar--thing. Like DR RLP, I was surprised by BK's words that he doesn't care for camp. Yet, I didn't care for NO SEX, PLEASE, WE'RE BRITISH or Monty Python, while I adore Dame Edna. Perhaps some forms of humor are cultivated tastes. Some of the humor I so loved in my younger days is not so funny to me now. I now prefer humor that is more than just sight gags--I like it to have some bite, which is probably why I like Dame Edna so much. Brilliant satire. Camp? Oh, yeah. Deliberately.

Saturday morning (how did that happen?) afternoon greetings!  DS Rob and his girlfriend are loading his car and my Vibe and I think soon there will be the first of several caravans to Cincinnati.

From Bruce:
Quote
To pre preorder simply send a paypal payment of $24 (cheaper than anywhere else) and $5 for Priority shipping (total $29) to kritzerland@adelphia.net and a copy will be reserved for you. We’ll be shipping in about three to four weeks.

So that is why you simply gave us the email address!   I’ll place the order now.

I  dislike using paypal so much I usually avoid it.

Today is Yogi’s birthday and all is well.  He is feeling fine & has returned to his mischievous ways.

Next week the vet will re-check his blood work to compare it to the original results.  We are all feeling positive now that the news will be good.

I shall now be on my way to Academy used CDs, then a few of us are going to try a "new" (to me) Thai place called Pam Real Thai.  Hope it's as good as the other jernt in the Village.

Quote from Cillaliz yesterday:

Quote
OMG, I just realized that I'm older than Barak Obama...ok, it's only a month, but....

That is kind of scary, isn't it.  I guess I never realized that Mr. Obama was only 46.  Although, I am not old enough to be his father; I could certainly be his Uncle Tom.

I wonder if Edisaurus is busy cutting new promos for TNT since they half to pull all the L&O re-runs with Fred Thompson by the end of next week. (Or is TNT management sitting around with their head in the sand waiting for the Government to give them hand-addressed orders!)

der Brucer

I suspect they'll even have to pull the current trailers that show Fred.
