I finished the commentary on the roadshow SOUTH PACIFIC. To his infinite credit, Richard Barrios did thank his listening audience for allowing him to drone on. I appreciated that his feelings about his commentary were mirrors of my own.

I had some lengthy telephone conversations this afternoon, so I was only able to fit in two CSI: MIAMI episodes. In the first, a man arrested for killing his wife is found not guilty, but the CSI team doesn't take that lying down since it's clear that he practiced on another woman before he actually did the deed, so they go after evidence for the first (practice) murder. Some neat twists to the usual story, and Brad Rowe, who played the suspected killer, is always nice to look at.

The other episode had to do with a rather clever robbery scheme at a women's spa. Again, some neat twists to the usual story which made it an enjoyable episode.

My Amazon order did not come again today, so it looks like I'll be escaping with Mr. McQueen later this evening.

Rock Swings?

I don't think I want to be underneath the thing if the rope breaks.   :P

Does anyone remember Vikki Carr?

(I'm sure she does not remember anyone though!)

Vikki Carr had a major hit here with "It Must Be Him" - it's still played often on radio.

Vicki Lawrence had #1 hits here with "He Did with Me" and "Ships In The night".  (Not however with "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia".

Thanks for the link François.  Our weekend news magazine had an article about the success and inaccuracies of "wikipedia".

I still have one more CSI: MIAMI episode to go on the disc in the player, and then it will be off to escape greatly.

I remember Vikki Carr. I thought she had quite a voice. I was in high school or college and don't know what I'd think now, haven't heard her in ages.

I wonder if Vikki sang at Rosa's Cantina in El Paso.

(that's for JRand and Rodzinski)

DR Jeanne - I am quite likely to play Denver discs at times but rarely list what I'm really listening to here. (Unless I know I'll get a reaction from Rodzinski.  François - I doubt there really is a Vicki Lawrence Greatest hits on CD!
(I listed  the last three artists played on the radio before I posted).

Oh, so you put up a front here, do you? A special HHW persona?  :) Hmmm, I hadn't thought about that. Silly me. Maybe I should try that...

Here I am at Ye Olde World of Wisdom....there have been MANY customers today....but now there are NONE.

We have almost one hour of shopping time left today, so we NEED some customers.  Doesn't anyone want a Dreamcatcher or a Witch Ball?

Hmmmmmm......

I wonder if DR ELMORE is staying in the actual Lucille Ball house on Ogden Drive.....inquiring minds need to know.

DR Ben, thanks for the info on the Quad Cinema. It's appropriate that we're in the last independent theatre in NY. We're about as independent as you can get!
