Harve Presnell

That truly saddens me.  I loved him in MOLLY BROWN.

He was also William H. Macy's father in "Fargo."

I first ran across his name on one of the first recordings of CARMINA BURANA with Eugene Ormandy and the Philadelphia Orchestra. Presnell was the baritone soloist. I loved him in "Fargo."

Well, I need to leave work now and go home for a bit before beginning the second weekend of "Romeo & Juliet."  Tonight, we're having a special $5 performance, so we'll see if more people come tonight or not. :-\ But those who have seen it, seemed to enjoy it.

Until later!

Michael Weiss of THE PRETENDER happened to be in the audience at ARCHBISHOP SUPREME TARTUFFE last night.  I believe he must be a friend of Andre De Shields.

Did anyone post before now the "Bare Essential" commercials from New Zealand air?

They must have taken hours to makeup the actors!

Ironically, last evening when I was on my spending spree, I ordered the DVDs of MOLLY BROWN and GYPSY.

I just remembered that I also ordered TIME MACHINE and DAMN YANKEES.  I hope I didn't hex Rod Taylor or Tab Hunter.

Sears Tower set to open ‘Ledge’ to thrill seekers

No. Way.

I agree, NOW WAY!

Oh, I'd go out there.  I wouldn't do it with a crowd - they say 8 people can go at once, but I'd check it out

I'd love to walk that bridge!   I've never jumped out of a plane, i would be scared to near death, but I'd try it

I would not want to be part of the crew putting the lights on the bridge.  It must be something to see. ;D

Sorry to hear about all these deaths - not the ones where the people were REALLY older, like approaching ninety - that's too good a run for sadness - but Presnell was a young seventy-five.

DR Jennifer I hope you saw some great fireworks last night.  I had meant to wish you a happy Canada Day.

The fireworks were tonight. Canada Day is today.

I did a BBQ at 5:30pm. It started to downpour at 6pm. Till 7:15pm. At 7:20pm we went to see if the event  and fireworks were cancelled. I assumed they would be cancelled.

But there were hundreds of people already there. And it only drizzed a little. But from 8-10pm there no rain at all. And they had the fireworks.

I just know that the actors that I grew up and admired are, I am sure, near the end of their runs.  I have a feeling that in the next 6 months we are going to lose many of our great stars. In my opinion there are hardly any one of today's generation that will be able to replace them.

Most stars these days their longevity are not the same as the stars like Karl Malden

Happy Canada Day! Fingers crossed for the fire works tonight.

I was going to wish you and all Canadians a Happy Canada Day! What is its significance?

Canada Day is basically Canada's birthday. It's a national holiday celebratrating the 1867 anniversary of the British North American Act, in which canada became a country.

I should have had my camera today for DR Laura.  My hiking group went to Grizzly Peak where there was an abundance of wild flowers. :)

Back from Avenue Q, which was fun.  Richard, sitting on the aisle as he prefers, got to wear one of the "take up a collection" hats for a few seconds.  And this afternoon, Jackie Burns performed a rather lewd gesture right in his face during Hair.
