George I need to see your watch in action.   ;D

I'm listening to my watch right now!  I can't remember where I got it, but Lea Salonga is singing a Filipino song called "Bakit Labis Kitang Mahall."  Does anyone know what this title means??  She does have a lovely voice, but I have no idea what she's singing.

Yes, the Doubletree has bathroom telephones.  It's not the greatest hotel in the world, but I like it because you get two rooms and their nice-sized, with most rooms affording quite a nice view.  I was a little annoyed at my last visit there, but only because it cost over four hundred and fifty bucks a night.

I have to agree with TCB--they have phones but no bathtubs?  How unseemly.   :D

All righty, I shall be on my way to the DGA.  I shall return directly after the film.  Keep the home fries burning, you dear, dear people out there in the dark.

Cillaliz congrats on getting back into your skinny jeans.  I like your new avatar and you have very pretty coloring.

Thanks, getting into my skinny jeans was an accomplishment, especially with all this talk of food an pastries!

Cillaliz I’m sorry about your cat and hope it isn’t cancer.  My cat Bogie is having an ultrasound tomorrow and we just lost our dog to cancer so I know what you are going through.

GOOD HEALTH VIBES TO YOUR CALICO!

Thanks again. We are in a holding pattern waiting for test results, but she is home and was Bunny Hopping with me this afternoon

I love photography and carry my digital camera around most of the time, just in case something catches my eye. I was just sitting in my recliner typing away on my laptop one day and saw Callie in the sun and the reflection, I had to stop and sneak up on her to capture it. I was really glad I did.

Cillaliz, congrats on fitting into the jeans.  I'm in the same place.  I lost twently pounds, bought skinny jeans, gained ten pounds back and can't fit in them.  Hence the diet.  Ten pounds by March or bust--literally!  LOL!

Hopefully DRJOSE's show will start on time tonight.  Did you read that?  Curtain held on account of slow waiters!  LOL
I'm not so sure the waiters are entirely to blame.  One nightmare for any restaurant is to have a huge crew of people show up to dine at the same time.  A kitchen can only put out so much food at once, simply because they only have a so many burners to cook upon.  This sounds like poor planning on the part of the group co-ordinators, not getting everyone to the restaurant earlier so that the kitchen could have enough time to do their stuff, and also probably not giving the restaurant enough advance warning.

This is why gratuities are added to the tab on groups over a certain number.

Danise I suggest you take the earlier flight.  If all goes well and you arrive on time just check your luggage if your room isn’t ready and go play.
I fully agree with this advice.  Good hotels are always willing to hold luggage, either before you get your room or after you leave.  You'll have the secure feeling of knowing the luggage is safe, and you won't be weighed down carting those bags from place to place.  Just make sure you leave a decent tip for the service.

Tonight is a simple steak-and-potatoes night, but it got complicated.  In the latest bag of russets we bought, there was a HUGE potato about the size of a football (American football, not what we call soccer).  I decided to show it to der Brucer as a joke, asking "How hungry are you?" but Fletcher caught sight of it and thought I was offering it to him!  I mean, he was outright excited, hopping up and down, which with a Dalmatian is a fair amount of hopping.  I finally went back to the kitchen to find him a smaller 'tater, which pleased him more than anything.

Let's face it, dogs are crazy.   ::) ;D :)

Can I speak of pastries?
Valrhona Chocolate Doughnut from DOUGHNUT PLANT, NYC, is my boom (it’s Japanese-English and means indicating something which you very personaly are crazy for, not completely relating to general trend)  And also Cinnamon Buns must be recommended. The shop was opened last year near my house and still now customer’s lines are around there like Beard Papa’s Cream Puffs’. In the US, they have shops only in New York City?
