singdaw, is it possible that when you were doing your dance-aerobics, you were using "jaws hands?"

Did you drive from LA to Prescott this morning, DR Cason?

I did indeed.   ;D

Wal-Mart Dog Treats Join Pet Food Recall

Quote
WASHINGTON —  The recall of pet foods and treats contaminated with an industrial chemical expanded Thursday to include dog biscuits made by an Alabama company and sold by Wal-Mart under the Ol'Roy brand.

The Food and Drug Administration said the manufacturer, Sunshine Mills Inc., is recalling dog biscuits made with imported Chinese wheat gluten. Testing has revealed the wheat gluten, a protein source, was contaminated with melamine, used to make plastics and other industrial products.

Also Thursday, Menu Foods, a major manufacturer of brand- and private-label wet pet foods expanded its original recall to include a broader range of dates and varieties. Menu Foods was the first of at least six companies to recall the now more than 100 brands of pet foods and treats made with the contaminated ingredient.

The recall now covers "cuts and gravy"-style products made between Nov. 8 and March 6, Menu Foods said. Previously, it only applied to products made beginning Dec. 3. In addition, Menu Foods said it was expanding the recall to include more varieties, but no new brands.

Catching up...

DR Jane, DD Sherlock is ADORABLE.  But he looks just a little bit sad.  :(

It was day three after his surgery.  He was very sad.  He is happier now, but very bored.  We keep giving him chew toys in place of exercise :-\

Tuesday we are getting him neutered & he has to spend the night at the vet's.  It was a difficult decision to make with everything else going on.

Thursday morning greetings!  Payday today and our checks were delivered by 2 Easter bunnies (actually Paula & Theresa from Finance).  They were wearing fuzzy bunny ears and carrying baskets of foil-wrapped chocolate eggs.  They hippety-hopped through our workroom singing "Here Comes Peter Cottontail"  ;D

HOw fun! :D

No surprises inside the walls today.

Except that the outlet that I would like to have raised a few inches over the kitchen sink is exposed. Maybe I can get DH to do that, if I am nice to him.

You clearly need a lesbian friend with a tool belt!

I always thought that "Arms Akimbo" sounded exactly like a character name in a Damon Runyon book or short story.

Now I must get back to being productive.

And that's the truth.

singdaw, are we to infer from your "jaws agape" post that you're not a big muscular jock?

"Jaws Agape" is a Greek language film about shark mating.

Welcome to the 21st Century, I know....I know....   :P

DR RLP - I have looked around for some over the air broadcasts, but my television channel numbers - even with my VCR off correspond to the cable channels, so I think I would have to unhook my VCR/cable to receive the over the air channels...so NO no HD as yet.  8)

An $8 A-B switcher from Radio Shack would solve that problem.

You have to have the digital tuner in your TV search for the channels. They aren't numbers that you'd be familiar with. For example, channel 9 (the ABC affiliate here in Charlotte) is actually digital channel 34.

But since you're getting digital cable with HD, you can just bypass the built-in digital tuner in your set.

Mr Ed is more entertaining than American Idol could ever be....to most of us.  My guess is we will never see Mae West or Zsa Zsa Gabor on American Idol.

And we're grateful for that, at least in their current states!

Enjoyed shopping this afternoon and still got home and managed to fit in three different entertainments.

I began with last night's MEDIUM, a tense hour with some fantastic acting from all concerned. Adam Goldberg, an actor I don't usually like much, was very good in this episode. And I had tears of joy in my eyes at the relief Allison and Arial felt at the end. Very good performances from everyone in this outstanding episode.

(And, of course, I wanted to MURDER that middle school principal. Reminded me of the idiot I worked for my last four years.)

Oh, my, that sounds too good not to try.

Regarding the amount (I'm not the best at passing on recipes, I tend to forget little things like HOW MUCH GROUND BEEF!) since it's for two of us I use about a pound or a little more depending on the package. That makes enough for a couple of meals (unless we have seconds). I love green beans so I use about a cup and a half.

Next, I watched the tearful and gut-wrenching last 25 minutes of THE YEARLING. It always affects me this way which is one reason I don't watch it very often. Superb film!

Isn't the "Akimco Arms" a nudist B&B?
