I was woken up by the cry from you yesterday RLP - and it wasn't as loud.

I was hoping for a different sort of reply!

I've "graduated" from Hiring a Wino to Decorate my home.  I'm now digtially "cleaning" my Hugo & Luigi discs for transfer to CD. "La Plume De Ma Tante" really need a good clean. It's been on my Uncle's dusty desk since 1959.

I had a bite of escargot once - like eating an eraser in garlic.  I also had alligator once, and it wasn't too bad.

Oh, I love beef liver. With lots of onions and bacon!

Not to be picky, but don't you mean calves liver?

Sauted beef liver is like boot-soles and has a heavey-handed flavor. (You can help if out if you brasie it in a tomato sauce.)

Ah, yes.  Baluts.

Duck eggs, nearly ready to hatch, but not quite, are fermented until duckling and egg juices are soft (like a soft-boiled egg).

Considered a delicacy by some.

Vomit-inducing to me...and others.

But they're so lovely to look at, and smell!

I'll stick with raw oysters, thanky!

DR LAURA - I would say a redecoration from horn to hoof is called for.

Congrats to the famous DR JOSE who will mention us all by name when he wins his Tony, I am sure.

It was day three after his surgery.  He was very sad.  He is happier now, but very bored.  We keep giving him chew toys in place of exercise :-\

Tuesday we are getting him neutered & he has to spend the night at the vet's.  It was a difficult decision to make with everything else going on.

Neutered!  Oh nuts!

I felt like I won the lottery when I went to my mailbox....there was a package from Kritzerland!!!   The zip code had been changed on it a few times so I think someone got confused along the way, but it is here and I am most pleased about that.

Frogs legs

Escargot

Alligator

Ostrich

Rabbit

I haven't cared to try any of the above again

My grandfather made Kapusta with pigs feet... that was excellent, although I must admit I use other pportions of the pig when I make it myself

Now I am hungry for liver and onions. But not tonight.  The Green Gables makes the best. It's all home cooking. The restaurant was a favorite of Esther Pauline Freidman and Pauline Esther Friedman when they were growing up....

(Eppie and Popo are also know as  Abigail Van Buren and Ann Landers.  I can't remember which is which)

I love Chicken gizzards and hearts, not so fond of chicken liver, but love beef liver.

Strange things I've eaten. Menudo, I guess.  There was the chocolate covered cricket once.  I've eaten rattle snake (tasted like chicken)

Good Evening!

There's a Trader Joe's basically across the street from the theatre.  Very convenient.  :)

Cilla - whew!

I have written a little over nine pages, and I am pooped.  I'll have to reread it later - I'll probably end up smoothing some of it out, but I think it's okay - it's obviously the most critical part of the book, the denoument, but it seems to be working.

Thanks for all the Job Vibes.  I guess they've been doing their job all along.

Again, I'm not counting on anything until any sort of papers are signed, but, again it's just nice to know that my name is known.  -And known by the other major music contractor in town too!

TOD

Years ago, when I was a travel agent, one of the airlines flew a group of the top selling agents to Denmark for the weekend.  The first night, they put us up in this incredible 11th century castle, and that night they served us the complete "Babbettes Feast."  During one of the courses, we were served hummingbird eggs, prepared the way Ron described the duck eggs.  I asked the person next to me what I was supposed to do with it, and she said to just pop the whole thing in your mouth.  I swear that damned egg stayed stuck in my windpipe for months.

BLACH!!!!
