Back to the Topic of the Day for a bit...

Rattlesnake Sausage on a pizza at PieWorks in Durham, NC.  -They have some truly interesting topping choices.  -And their Reuben Pizza - complete with a pumpernickel crust! - is pretty tasty!

I've had Menudo and Posole and some other supposed hang-over cures... I like them.  It's all about the spicy broth.  The Filipino style menudo is more like "stir fry", and tongue is the main meat in it.  I like that too, but it's been years since I've had it.

I still have yet to try chicken feet off the dim sum cart.

Thanks for all the Job Vibes.  I guess they've been doing their job all along.

Again, I'm not counting on anything until any sort of papers are signed, but, again it's just nice to know that my name is known.  -And known by the other major music contractor in town too!

Just think, Mr. Barnum, someday Jose will be a famous Broadway musician, adored by millions, and eventually he will be called to Hollywood (or possibly Bollywood) to star in a whole series of gladiator movies.

Perhaps you should grab him while you still can!

LOL, I never watch lost, so to have the first thing I see be last night's episode in Iowa, well, I just cracked up

I wouldn't make too much of that....many people in many different states make disparaging remarks about their own areas.

"People talk so slowly down here!"  "Welcome to South Carolina, ma'am."

As for that location in Iowa....it might very well take that mechanic three days to get the part he needs.  I know it sometimes take two days just to get a letter from here to Berkeley.

And I've had my car in a garage that took a day and half to get a part from a local store.

I felt like I won the lottery when I went to my mailbox....there was a package from Kritzerland!!!   The zip code had been changed on it a few times so I think someone got confused along the way, but it is here and I am most pleased about that.

Must have happened in Iowa, too....!

Good Evening!

There's a Trader Joe's basically across the street from the theatre.  Very convenient.  :)

What a load off our minds.

We were so worried about you.......[not!]

Rabbit

In my very early navy years, rabbit was plentiful and inexpensive. Our navy mess served it at least twice a week!
(Usually deep-fried like chicken). Quite tasty!

I saw a jackrabbit hopping down the trail in front of me today.  Later I saw a heron in the lake.  Sorry, I didn't have my camera with me.  I had to move very quickly today in order to get home.

I would have invited you to stop by for a drink of water, DR Cason... oh, never mind!

DR Laura, you've gone through an awful lot of trouble just to get out of having to put up Cason.

Hmm...  Now I'm trying to think if I've eaten any unusual fruits of vegetables.   -Although, I guess in our current culinary world, there aren't any truly unusual fruits and vegetables.  However, fiddlehead ferns and ramps come to mind - but mainly since their prime growing/eating season is so short.
