Topic of the Day: I was never a specific fan of Paul Simon, or even Simon and Garfunkel (my sister's boyfriend is), but I've enjoyed his and their songs that I've heard over the years. The one Paul Simon album that I own is his Graceland album. I really like that one.

I finally had a decent night of sleep for the first time in weeks. I slept from 9:30 to 3:15 or so before I woke. I took two Tylenol and went back to bed. I slept well untill around 5:30 when three needy cats began to pester me for attention and affection.

Last night I watched the Enigma Variations ballet again and liked it even better the second time. I cannot warm up to Kenneth Macmillan's ballet to Shostakovich's piano concerto, and Rudolf Nureyev's staging of act three of Glazunov's Raymonda is beautiful but I can take it or leave it.

I have no real plans for today. After some light housekeeping, a little vacuuming, I need to dig out a couple of DVDs I would like to watch and put my hands on a piece of music that Amazon tells me I purchased several years ago and I have no memory of.
