Is it Chinese food?

No, but now I will probably be craving me some General Taos!

I have been eating way too much and not exercising enough.  So I am now on my 6th day of the 14 day Atkins cleansing.  It is VERY restrictive (only 20 carbs or less per day).  But you totally cleanse your body.  And I feel really good.

And btw, I tried the Atkins wrap the other day (with grilled chicken and the atkins honey & mustard dressing).  And it was SO GOOD.

DR Elmore, I must clear up some minor confusion.  Kushner was not accusing Blitzstein of being too far to the right.  He was accusing ME of being too far to the right because I preferred the Blitzstein translation of Threepenny (and toiled in the "lull-the-bougeois-into-complacency" field of musical theatre).  I don't know which translation he preferred, but he was pretty close to some East German immigrant who'd work with Brecht late in BB's life.

Btw, the guy who lives next door is getting snow removal services this winter!  That means no more him using his snow plow tractor and putting all his snow in front of my drive-way.  Yeah!

It's my memory from Eric's bio, that the original dress of THREEPENNY OPERA lasted over 4 hours, leading to drastic cuts.

I've just returned from Barnes & Noble

Boy, I sure hope the salesperson was correct, polite, helpful, curteous, knowledgeable, presentable, personable and able to you!

Because, we are a few Hainsies and Kimlets here who could give him/her a lesson and have him/her fired!

Let it be known!
If he's/she's not with us, she's/he's against us! :( ;)

Meanwhile... everything's  beautiful in the rest of the world!

Paul Dooley was indeed the lead in a series, called "Coming of Age" co-starring my personal favorite, Miss Phyllis Newman.  They (along with Alan Young and the lovely Miss Glynis Johns) played next door neighbors in a retirement community in Sun City, AZ.  The series didn't last long, but it was often quite funny.  Or at least I recall it being quite funny.

Oh, my gosh, I remember that show...back in the late 80s or 90s wasnt' it? Anyway it was funny, but quickly was off the air.

We're all gone shopping and checking if clerks do their job properly; otherwise, we'll have them fired, you hear!

We sure are not going to put up with that kind of terrorism! No sir! 8)

Just finished talking to director Maury Dexter..doing the second part of the interview. What a nice guy....talked about Bobby Vinton, Sonny and Cher, Kent Taylor, George Montgomery, and the cast of LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE (he directed that show). Fun interview...but now I have 3 hours worth of audio tape to transcribe, which is the part I hate! LOL!

Dear Friend BK, perhaps they're all seeing this new film TARNATION, which got great reviews in New York.

Well Iwill tell you where I have been.  I have been watching my DVD of Claude LeLouch's film LES UNS ET LES AUTRES.

Oh my....I enjoyed this LONG film very much.  Everyone does a nice job - the music is wonderful - both the original and the adapted.  Geraldine Chaplin is especially good in her roles, but everyone is good.

Thanks for letting us know about it MRBK.

YAY!!!  Just filled the LAST part (oboe/english horn) for my pit for "The Secret Garden" that I'm conducting (feeblely, I'm sure!) Now, to get the ancient Yamaha DX-7's programmed so they somewhat resemble the instruments William Brohn had envisioned!!!  Oh, the fun never stops - especially in 3D!

I am doing a double header today, Dear Readers.  I have just returned from a matinee performance of the New York City Ballet.  I've freshened up a bit and will be heading out momentarily to meet a friend for dinner before we go to the Pasadena Symphony's season-opening concert tonight.  It's an all (Richard) Strauss program, and guest soloist Miss Jane Eaglen will be singing The Four Last Songs as well as the Final Scene from Salome.

I'll provide a full report on both events when I get home tonight.

In the meanwhile, I remain yours, yours, yours.
