Well, you've read the notes, the notes couldn't make up their mind, and now it is time for you to post until the not making up their mind cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: MYTHOPOEIC!
-
First post after BK!
-
From last night:
And a sugar alcohol called Erythritol (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007XA49BG/). There are many brands of this, but this is just what I got. I really like it, too.
Worth a try though it reminds me of Stevia which Keith likes. Maybe he would prefer Erythritol.
Jane, it's not like Stevia, which I really don't like. It's like granulated sugar, just less sweet. It is a little different, and I've read that it can affect people gastronomically ::) , but I haven't had any tummy troubles because of it.

After I posted this, Jeanne asked if it was just for baking or other freshly made foods? And how to use it? It's supposed to be a 1:1 replacement for sugar. I've put it on my breakfast cereal, and my sister has made some cupcakes and frosting with it. It's available in granulated and powdered versions.
-
And now, time for sleep.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
Wew have a rainy day. It's quite dark inside and outside the apartment.
-
I'm happy to be staying inside today.
-
Good morning
-
Still having the pains butmore dull than sharp
-
Good morning, all.
-
Glad I'm in for the day. We're getting the rain, but ours right now has some wet snowflakes and even (I think) a little bit of sleet mixed in. It'll be just rain later. Still...
Yuck. We can just be glad we're not farther north or west where they're getting snow.
-
Still having the pains butmore dull than sharp
Me, too, DR vixmom! I did my stretching exercises last night, but usually it's walking up and down stairs that helps the most.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Headed out soon for some fun in San Antonio.
-
It should be cloudy but the temperature will likely get up to 80 or so, at least on the south side where we'll be.
-
Happy birthday, Stephen Sondheim and that British fellow.
-
Two cups of coffee, litter cleaned, kitty dishes washed, and bed made. Time to have some breakfast and get to work.
-
I'm waiting to hear from Joshie. I may need to go in to City Center today or tomorrow to help him prepare for Monday's recording sessions for The New Yorkers.
-
Yes George, I meant brick-and-mortar stores. I won't try too hard to find them before ordering online.
-
DR TCB you do not owe me an apology 😊
Have fun today.

Darn about the tummy troubles. I will have to be very careful when trying it.

Stairs are excellent exercise. I am glad they also help your back.
-
I need to finish the book I am reading for my book group discussion on Monday.
-
Friday.
-
Today I made up my mind to do some shopping. I went to the Goodwill and bought some summer shorts, since my old ones no longer fit well. And I bought ONE shirt.
Then I went to Ollie's and bought some potting soil (to plant my milkweed for the butterflies), some grass seed to put where a tree used to be, and some cheese crunchies....
The I went to Lowe's and bought a can of Flex Seal so that we can stop the leaking around the chimney stack.
Monday I will go to Dollar Tree and buy a paint brush.
-
The Orville was excellent again last night....and there was a very pretty song. It was nice to see Gordon get the center spotlight....
-
DR JOHNG if you want some scary dancing, here you go. The first number starts about 12 minutes in.....but there are others.

I look forward to watching it.
-
I read a little and should really get up now.
-
I'm up, I'm up - about seven-and-a-half hours of sleep.
-
Home for lunch
-
Happy birthday, Stephen Sondheim and that British fellow.
Ditto and ditto!
-
I think I'm gonna do the car service and smog check thing on Monday.

Me, too. I won't be able to see it until this weekend.

Seattle is going down the tubes.
My grandfather is buried in this cemetery.
https://www.foxnews.com/us/seattle-homeless-crisis-historic-cemetery-overrun-with-drugs-and-prostitution-amid-worsening-problem?fbclid=IwAR1efcCFUqo5gbirGtCqfgA-x0DlP-ATcK78XeKtAA5ATsK9o6-qfq48Lug
I just spoke to the person who runs the cemetery.
He's says there is nothing they can do.
They won't hire a security guard.
The cops won't do anything.
In fact, he says that there is "no problem". :( :( :(
Thankfully, I don't live in Seattle any longer, nor do I ever plan to visit again. >:( >:( >:(
I posted this on the Seattle FB page. I got several :( :( :( , then the administration took down the post.
I guess they are happy with the dump that Seattle has become. :( :( :(
-
DR Druxy I am sorry your grandfather is buried in that cemetery.
I guess the story was removed to protect tourism. I also suspect you were not the only person to share it there since I have recently seen a number of stories on the problems in Seattle.
-
I had to run to market for Thatch's deli turkey and a few other items. I called Joshie and left a message but I suspect he's up to his butt in orchestra parts for the recording.
-
That’s awful about the cemetery. But it’s doubly awful that the city would remove the FB post.
I’d probably be tempted to write an old fashioned letter to the editor. If published, that would certainly raise some hackles - and no one could delete it.
-
Sad story from DR DRUXY on many levels.
-
Sad story from DR DRUXY on many levels.
Very. :(
-
We will be in Seattle in May for a day. I wonder what it will be like. Portland has been bad for a long while now :(
The one thing we don't miss in Ashland are all the transients on the sidewalks.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
DR George, thank you for answering my question from last night about the Erythritol. I had never heard of it. I'm glad you found an acceptable sugar substitute.
-
DR Jane, I've never seen ChocZero in the stores, but there's at least one other company that uses monkfruit. I haven't tried their chocolate, but those bars are in some stores.
-
I was surprised to receive an email from my medical group today, asking me to fill out a little survey. 99% of the questions were about my doctor, as if there are no other factors. They provided a space for feedback. I told them what I thought of their facility, but I don't want someone turning this into a criticism of the doctor. I've seen some surveys that are structured like that.
-
ChocZero is a small company and would like to see small stores sell their products. Jane, if you know of any in your area you might want to let them know. The customer reviews are very positive. Did we mention that they sell chocolate syrup, too?
-
I have no real news.
Weekend vibes to all.
TTFN.
-
I went to the chiropractor
-
It helped a little
-
Had a nice two-hour lunch meeting, basically giving my strong thoughts to the author of a new musical.
-
Had a Cobb salad and a bagel.
-
Then I picked up a couple of packages.
-
Then I came home and finished the commentary, so that's done. And no news on the book order - my gal told me she'll be in tomorrow, so tomorrow I will not be fun to deal with if there's any further delay on this.
-

Chocolate and other flavors! Of the several that I've had, they've all been very good! :D
-
Well, I need to head to the theater. My friend Margo is going to go tonight. I wonder what she'll think of it.
Be back later.

Thanks Jeanne. I saw the syrup but am not a bit fan of chocolate syrup. There is a specialty market here I might check out, however, I don't go enough to have them stock something for me.
-
We ended up eating at Beaches tonight though we discussed going someplace else. We were glad we did as the people with the seeing eye dog were there, and the husband who finished his rounds of radiation. This is the gentleman that had to have a feeding tube. Before it can be removed he needs to learn to chew again and to eat more. Tonight he had soup and half of an ice cream dessert, mostly eating the melted ice cream. DR Vixmom I recall the challenges you faced once you could eat again.
-
Also, they finally, as they have been promising, got Antica vermouth just for Keith's Manhattan's. They normally use Gallo-yuck. Tonight I also had a Manhattan and it was delicious.
-
There is a reason I normally just order a straight drink of Bourbon or Scotch, the mixed drinks go to my head too quickly.

Those surveys are popular these days.

Friday evening greetings! Just checking in to apologize for being E & T all day today and to tell you that I will be again tomorrow. I had an early doctor's appointment today for a routine fasting blood test, so Richard and I went to Hamilton for a late breakfast and a noon lecture on local native American history. Had a nap when we got home, dinner, and some TV, and now it's time for bed.
-
Tomorrow morning I have to be at Katie's at 8am to carpool to Springfield, OH, for the Southwest Ohio AAUW Regional Conference. I'm not particularly interested, but our local president has been on the planning committee and several of us are going to support her. It will be nice to be with my girlfriends for the day and I should be home in time for Michigan's second (and, I hope, not last) March Madness game.
-
All in all, I'd rather be in New York this weekend for "I Married an Angel" and Doug and Jon's Equinox Cocktail Party.
Oh, well...
-
HAve fun DR GINNY.
-
Thanks, DR JRand!
-
'night!
-
We just watched the excellent epusode of The Orville. WTF ;) ;D
-
I happened to watch the extras on the Man from Rio Blu-ray. And tomorrow's notes will be all about the little puff-piece with a French record producer who has the temerity to say HE and the widow Delerue uncovered the stereo tapes of the score. This little moron already wrote that the widow Delerue's Man from Rio cupboard was empty and that only four cues in mono existed - the rest of the tapes were "lost." He WROTE this in a booklet. And how he's a hero for finding the stereo tapes - what he found was our CD taken from the tapes that I found. He tried to cause us legal trouble because, well, he's an idiot - it didn't work, I received no apologies from anyone and now HE discovered the tapes - they either used our CD or they had MGM do transfers for them. Of course, if they were reasonable people I could have saved them a LOT of money and sent them our transfers - we had every note of the score and every cue on our CD. So, I went back and found that correspondence and will have some fun this evening.
-
A great day touring the missions. We saw all four.
-
I don't think I had ever been to San Juan Capistrano.
-
Tonight, we went to Texas Pride barbecue, which has a Friday fish fry as well as live country music.
-
It was nice to spend time with Jim and Kathe.
-
But I'm exhausted.
-
Off to bed.
-
Page three? Really? This will NOT do.
-
I watched the last of SAFE. I didn't find it particularly implausible, just not very satisfying. They mamged to keep the tension up until the last episode, though.
Shows I prefer are THE BRIDGE, THE TUNNEL, and BODYGUARD. BODYGUARD, IMHO, is a must-see.
-
I then watched an inspiring episode of QUEER EYE. I do love that show.
-
Jane, you mentioned MANHUNT. Do you and Keith enjoy it? I found it quite interesting.
-

Yes, everybody and their brother does them.
-
Good night.
-
Well, I need to head to the theater. My friend Margo is going to go tonight. I wonder what she'll think of it.

Margo liked it! She laughed a little louder than most people, but everyone seemed (as usual) to enjoy it!

They do have other flavors of syrups. I've had several, and they've all been pretty darned good...and quite thick.

Nice.
-
And now, a bunch of us are at a restaurant for late dining and socializing. :)
-
I don't think I had ever been to San Juan Capistrano.
I have only been there once.
-
Jane, you mentioned MANHUNT. Do you and Keith enjoy it? I found it quite interesting.
Yes, very much. Martin Clunes, as always, was excellent. Did you notice his wife was the executive of the show?

I just rarely use syrup of any kind. I like Dupar's boysenberry syrup. I wish they offered a sugar free version.

Enjoy.
-
San Antonio airport decidec Chick-fill-A will not be permitted to open a restaurant at the airpot.

Good evening.

DR Druxy, I am sorry your grandfather is buried there. My friend, Sandy, is also buried there. When I attended the service for Sandy, not quite two years ago, it was already getting bad there. Sadly it has only gotten worse.
-

There is little point in writing a letter to the editor. The city, the state, and the state legislature are well aware of the problem. That has been the number one topic for quite a long time. Last weekend there was an hour long documentary on local station, KOMO-TV. The special program was called SEATTLE IS DYING.
-
If anyone is interested, you can watch that special by going to the KOMO-NEWS website.
-
The rain has now returned to the Pacific Northwet.
-
I am a stranger here myself.
-
Page four? Really?
-
My goodness, the notes are REALLY long.
-
I mean reallllllllly long.
-
It actually made it smell good outside.
-
Why are we on this damn page. I want names.
-
I must take a shower and so I shall, having completed all tasks.
-
But the temperature has dropped back into the 50’s.
-
If anyone is interested, you can watch that special by going to the KOMO-NEWS website.
I watched earlier today. While sad it is thoughtful and well done.
-
Speaking of temperature - if, after I'm done showering, we aren't off this damn page I shall have a temperature tantrum. Watch out.
-
Oh well, it is still only March.
-
But the temperature has dropped back into the 50’s.
Here too as well as the rain which we walked in this afternoon.
-
Speaking of temperature - if, after I'm done showering, we aren't off this damn page I shall have a temperature tantrum. Watch out.
I am already here. I’m not too worried.
-
The condo was cute.
-
It was like a separate house, but still attached to the other condos.
-
I liked it, but I didn’t love it.
-
The kitchen was just too small.
-
I suppose i could put shelves in the garage and make it like a pantry.
-
Yes, it had an attached garage.
-
That was, also, where the washer and dryer go.
-
One more post.
-
Page 5
-
And it only had one bathroom.
-
The living room was an okay size.
-
Bigger than the one in last week’s condo.
-
But still, the entire condo is only 851 square feet.
-
I would need to rent a storage place for half of my stuff.
-
Why buy something that is already too small?
-
I am not sure the realtor was thrilled that I said no.
-
Oh well, that is her job.
-
The second condo that I was going to look at was right next door.
-
Unfortunately, the status went to pending this morning.
-
But still, the entire condo is only 851 square feet.
How big is your apartment?
-
And nothing else went on sale that fit my criteria.
-
A lot of new ones posted, but not for me.
-
Maybe next week.
-
But I will keep looking.
-
Did you see my question that interupted your story?
-
My apartment is something like 960 square feet.
-
Good night, Jane.
