A few Sondheim titles.

Mrs. Lovett's fate?  Stewed Doyen!

Egerman's sin re Desiree?  Letching at stimuli!

Manjiro and Kiyama travel northward?  Picture favors ice!

My handle here can be anagrammed as SHOW WIDE TOY, but that sounds naughty somehow...

Better to stick with WHY WOO DIETS?  At least it's consistant with my attitude on same.

(What is der Brucer's favorite pastime?  BREED CURRS!  (It makes more sense with the S.)

Good Evening!

Topic of the Day - For my full name: JOSE CARLOS SIMBULAN

LONER SALSA MUSIC JOB

ANAL MUSIC JOB LOSERS

JAILABLE CUSS MORONS

JELLO SAMBUCA ROSINS

BANJO RECLAIMS SOULS

JAILORS CONSUMABLES

JOCULAR ALBINOS MESS

JURASSIC MOON LABELS

MASS JUICER BALLOONS

In other news...

Long day.  Good, but long.  260 people.  Well give or take about ten for the no-shows, but still... And a lot of singers today.  And a LOT of "Gimme, Gimme's" again... It got to the point where as soon as I started the lead in, you could sense - and hear - the collective moan from the company members in the ballroom.  Ah, well...  But a pretty decent batch of auditionees, and there was really only two or three trainwrecks today.

DR Panni aka Anna

Happy Birthday!
Boldog születésnapot!

DR JMK - Good Health and Healing Vibes to Gabe!

Well... I'm a bit wiped out... and have another 250 auditions starting in the morning.

Goodnight.

DR Kerry, of course you may keep that tape! I made DVD copies of the episodes that I wanted to keep.

And that is a wonderful story about Joi Lansing. I adore that woman and oh but she died way too soon!

BK, one of these days I shall make a copy for you of Leslie Parrish's Perry Mason episode titled CASE OF THE MADCAP MODISTE in which young Ms. Parrish plays a runway model involved with the murder of Ms. Marie Windsor. You would also then discover who Ms. Dorothy Neumann is!

Lovely postings - but may I just say, where in tarnation IS everyone?  I come back after taking dear reader Panni for a birthday dinner and film and there is one count them one person here?  Denizens, where be you?  We had a lovely dinner at Stanley's and then we watched a motion picture on DVD entitled The School of Rock, about which I will have much to say in tomorrow's notes.

Not even eleven o'clock and there are zero count them zero people here.  How very unseemly.  Denizens, where in tarnation ARE you?  We need a denizen fix and we need it quick.  We need to keep the home fries burning after all.

First of all GOOD VIBES TO YOUNG GABE! And to the rest of the family.
There's no pain like feeling your child's pain. May Gabe heal quickly and well.

And now a HUGE thank you for all the lovely birthday wishes - even one in Hungarian from Jose, accents and all. What a terrific bunch of people you all are! It's a great blessing to be part of the HHW family.

I had a fabulous birthday. Got my writing done, had many cards, e-mails and phone calls - even one from my best childhood friend in Toronto, whom I've known since 6th grade.

The evening was just wonderful. Dear bk took me out for a scrumptious dinner. I had grilled salmon with dill mashed potatoes. Yummy. He had some kind of creamy chicken pasta without the pasta -- reminiscent of Jack Nicholson in FIVE EASY PIECES, except the waiter did not need to be told to put the pasta between his knees.

After dinner we went back to chez Kimmel where I enjoyed delicious flourless chocolate cake - there was also a Snow White cupcake, which I'm saving for tomorrow -  while watching SCHOOL OF ROCK,which was excellent. (bk, of course, had no cake.)

After I arrived home, I discovered that I had left my reading glasses and my gentlemanly host drove them over to my place. The last of the knights in shining armor is our bk.

In short, DRs, I had the BEST birthday ever.

I won (a) a leisure suit, (b) a bed, and (c) $130.
No, I don't know the gameshow, Dan-in-TO, but I love the prizes you won!

I see denizens.  I was sitting in my den just now which is not a bad place for a den-izen to sit.

I was off watching a DVD.

Hopefully, tomorrow der Brucer will be hooking up the new player/amp/speakers he bought today.  I'm terrible at that sort of thing, and he's the one with the degree in engineering.

And then we can all have our usual Friday media listings!  Calloo, callay!
