JR, remember Frances' advice--there's nothing that a bottle or two of vodka can't cure.

It's just too chilly to jog, at least for now - maybe later this afternoon.  Meantime, I'm not going to The Hollywood Show.  The garage sale across the street is done.  I'm thinking about lunch right now.

Well, I have to go to my parents' house for a bit, then to my sister's house.

Have a good day, all!

Be back later.

MattH, etc. - the first place I looked after discovering they weren't in the drawer where she always puts the shorts was the dryer - in, behind, to the side, and then the washing machine, too.  The only stuff in the dryer were her rags that she uses, and I even went through those twice.  I looked in every drawer, in every cupboard, and in every closet, and even where she keeps her cleaning stuff - and couldn't find them.

I was only trying to help. I read both your post last night and the notes this morning, and in neither place did you mention that you looked in either the washer or the dryer. I was just trying to cover all the bases.

I watched Friday's LAW & ORDER this morning. A good episode with lots of complications for the D.A. since the police were involved in what turned out to be a terrorist act.

I have to say, however, that the actress they used for the defense attorney was probably the WORST actress I've ever seen on LAW & ORDER in that role of defender. She was atrocious!

Next I watched MONSOON WEDDING on Blu-ray. The colors are really lush, and parts of it looked stunning in HD, but there are focus issues with the original photography, and in HD, the softness seems even more pronounced since other shots are so razor sharp. Sounds is DTS-HD MA 5.1, so the music had a nice heft to it.

I ended the afternoon watching one of the less interesting NCIS episodes from last season, one that focused on Rocky Carroll's new director character as he took on the case of investigating an old friend who was murdered in Chicago. The identity of the killer was pretty anticlimactic as we never even got to interview the character.

listened to the neighbor above me with the dog have noisy sex again - the first time was around 2 a m this morning - and when I see him, I'm going to suggest he look for a new bed that's quieter.
I hope your neighbor isn't having sex with the dog (noisy or otherwise)--Poor dog!
No, I just rode the elevator with his date from last night. I had to bite my tongue to keep from asking her to tell him to invest in a sturdier and quieter bed.

Well, that's a relief!  LOL!

On TV cop/detective shows, I can almost always spot the killer within the first 5-10 minutes.  I just ask myself: "Why would this character be there if he wasn't the killer".

The other big giveaway is if the episode has a "name" guest star.  99 times out of 100 they will be the killer.

DR TD, I have to admit that I was unable to get through that naked ERCOLE opera. I didn't find the guy playing Ercole to be very appealing, so the whole naked actor aspect was not as enjoyable as I had thought it would be....and most of the male characters sounded like women.

I will stick with Steve Reeves and Mark Forest movies, I guess.

I am currently burning episodes of THE GENE AUTRY SHOW (those with guest stars that I like...Sally Fraser, Anne Kimbell, Eileen Janssen, Ross Ford, ect) and in a moment I am going to install and, hopefully, learn how to use Photoshop Elements.

If the writing is ingenious, I can be fooled (which is why I continue watching all of these procedurals). And when the cast has great camaraderie (BONES, CASTLE, THE MENTALIST, NCIS), there's pleasure to be founbd in their interpersonal relationships even if the mystery is lacking.

I'm heading down now to clean my bathroom, put away the already folded laundry, and then head back to the viewing room to have a carefree evening of viewing.
