Re: Song of Norway. I still remember the NY Times ads for the roadshow, proclaiming it was selling more tickets than any film since Sound of Music. I made my parents take me to the Seattle showing, which I want to say was at the Paramount, but I could be mistaken. I have the souvenir program and soundtrack, too! It's never been released on DVD, has it? I think I *would* get it--loved the photography.
It seems to only be available on PAL DVD.
I don't think we were offered souvenier programs. But I did get to see it on one of the last big screens in Atlanta. (Torn down now, of course...)
I remember being amazed when Harry Secombe belted out "At Christmastime". I only knew his from The Goon Show---didn't realize he had such a lovely voice!
