Well, you've read the notes, the notes were written by the notes brothers, and now it is time for you to post until the cow brothers come home.
-
And the word of the day is: CYNOSURE!
-
Good morning, all!
-
DR TCB, Annabelle says she will be happy to post when Nicky signs up. She's happy at the moment playing in the linen closet with Thatch. I hardly saw them yesterday.
-
My next two weeks are completely empty on the calendar. Every day will be pretty much like the day before. The trick is staying sane,
-
I thought PBS was showing Little Women in three parts, as it was broadcast in England, but we got parts 2 & 3 last night. I enjoyed it to a degree, but not as much as I'd hoped to.
-
Sorry to have so E&T. I have to talk to the dr about these meds....I keep falling asleep

It didn't get any better? I think we have decided not to bother with parts 2 & 3 since we were not thrilled with part 1.

Sleep at night is good for you.
-
I fell right to sleep last night only to wake up choking in my throat and coughing. I finally got smart and rolled on my side and solved the problem then fell back to sleep.

I do like knowing this even if we don't get that far.

I will add the McGuire Sisters......they are great!

Rehearsal ended at 10:05 p.m.

At that rate the show itself will end at 11:25 p.m.

Good morning, all.
-
That gets us started on a new page.
I’m waiting to see if it’s going to rain or if I can resume some tree cutting I began yesterday.

I've been to the big supermarket at 86th Street and returned with a lot of groceries. I've got chicken cooking on the stove for stock and I hope to make enough chicken soup to last me for some time. Thatch and Annabelle are looking forward to fresh chicken this afternoon.

TOD:
John and Joan Cusack
The Bacon Brothers

TOD from yesterday:
It's really getting on my nerves the way people now say "perfect" about everything. So, a waiter takes my order and says, "Perfect". Really? What about my order is perfect? Is my food going to be perfect? I doubt it.

Speaking of MACBETH, Tacoma Little Theatre is closing out their 99th Season with a production of MACBETH, set in World War I It is directed by a friend of George.
-
That was so strange that we had a power failure the other evening that lasted an hour. Even in heavy windstorms, we rarely loose our power.

I am waiting for the Safeway delivery truck. They just called to say they would be over an hour late. I guess I can't really complain, this was offered as a freebie for me, since I am such a good customer. ("A customer!" A Sweeney Todd reference)

Hi, Kevin!

Neither one of us usually posts at this time of day, so it's nice to see you!

The Smith Brothers (I loved their Wild Cherry Cough Drops)

Never heard of them.
They have been around as long as I can remember, except when they took a break.
From Wikipedia:
"John Herman Pine (1847–1930)[1] and George William Pine (1848–1901)[2] were Philadelphia confectioner brothers. They emigrated from Germany in the 1860s with their parents, Frederick Pine and Margaretta Knopple Pine. In 1870 they formed Pine Brothers and opened a confectionery shop, selling Pine Brothers Glycerine Tablets.
The Pine family continued to run the Pine Bros. Soft Throat Drops business until the 1930s. The business has been sold several times since then. It was recently revived in 2012 by Victoria Knight-McDowell. The company continues to make softish cough drops."
I was very excited when they returned. Lately I can't find them in the stores and have to order them online.

They might also sell the Pine Bros cough drops.
-
I have to go back to the Big Market for carrots. Some idiot accidentally threw them out when he tossed the chicken bones and fat into the garbage chute.
-
I think that same idiot lives in my house, just with different mistakes.
-
I'm up, I'm up - seven and a half hours of sleep.
-
Will definitely jog today.

Years ago, I was at this restaurant and our waitress said "You betcha" after EVERYTHING someone said! I'd like a cheese burger. You betcha. Diet Pepsi. You betcha. Onion rings. You betcha.
-
It was so weird!
;)

As to siblings, the Wachowski brothers are now the Wachowski sisters, or just the Wachowskis. They have both come out as trans women.

Thanks. It was just due to my allergies in my throat. I was sure that I was disturbing Keith but he slept through it.

Didn't Carol Channing or Bette Midler (or someone) say things look almost twice as well when they're slightly blurry

This "Sling" TV ad where they confuse swinging with slinging makes me wonder if they named themselves just for the ad campaign. Some of their ads are funny, though, in a good kind of sitcom-like way.

Good afternoon.

Soup is almost finished. Annabelle has finally emerged from the linen closet.

Elmore, if you give the kids some home-cooked food, be sure it doesn't have/isn't cooked with onion. Onion is toxic to cats.

Yes, I know.

I cook for Rex these days. He loves chicken livers. I ran a few bites of one of my DH's steaks through the Magic Bullet for him. He doesn't eat much of anything, but he will eat a little.
-
Thatch turned down some cooked chicken from the soup pot this morning,

Just arrived in Tumwater: Demi-Dozen (http://www.kritzerland.com/demi.htm), The Man With Bogart’s Face (http://www.kritzerland.com/bogarts_face.htm) and The Verdict/The Seven-Ups/M*A*S*H (http://www.kritzerland.com/verdict.htm)!

Such a difficult time of life when you are happy for every bite they eat.
-
I had to refill the jet dry solution in our new dishwasher. I guess I did not close it back up tight enough as the lid was open and the dishes were streaked.
I ran the rinse and dry cycle.

Tonight is the finale of The Middle. I think it's one of the best shows on TV.
-
We have never watched it.
-
Do you mean 9th season finale or the entire show finale?
-
Gratuitous Post #100!
-
Well...
It seems the tree taker downers will be assembling to do their thing first thing in the morning. On the one hand, that’s news we’ve been waiting for for the past week. (The storm was one week and three hours and ten minutes ago, but who’s counting?). On the other hand I’m filled with apprehension...okay, hope and terror...for all to go well with no further damage to the house and of course to no one involved. Photographic evidence will, of course, be the order of the day.
-
I understand your concerns.
MEGA VIBES ALL GOES WELL!
-
Starting June 4, Alaska Airlines is changing the size of their carry on bags to match United & Delta. The new size allowed will be 22 inches long, 14 inches high, and 9 inches wide.
-
The dishwasher only ran the rinse cycle. Apparently I can't just rinse and dry.
I am now running the dishwasher, without soap, on a quick was of 60 minutes along with an extra dry. I hope it works.

Tuesday evening greetings from Delafield, Wisconsin! We are here for 2 days of alumni and commencement activities at Richard’s seminary. We had a wild drive around Chicago this morning and a nice lunch/shopping stop in Greendale, WI.
-
I am not Guest of the Day here, but we do have a comfy sitting area in our room. It’s nice not to have to sit on the bed all the time.
-
Back from a lovelier then lovely repast with Kay Cole.
-
Also did a three-mile jog.
-
Time for me to head home, so I will.
Be back later.
-
Just had a nice chat with the Vixter. She and Charles have gotten their passports and Tickets to Canada to introduce the soon to be new member of the family to the Canadian branch, most importantly to Granny.
-
It will be bittersweet as they intended to also meet Grandad .
-
They'll be going in late June
-
Elmore, if you give the kids some home-cooked food, be sure it doesn't have/isn't cooked with onion. Onion is toxic to cats.
I never knew this....

Rain delay in the ballgame. The San Antonio Missions are up 5-4 over the Tulsa Drillers.

I have to take my meds that means I will shortly be in a coma
-
I shall say my good nights now
-
Had to leave the game early. Have to be at work at 7:30.
-
Good night, all.

Just saw that Philip Roth died. Loved his work.

I saw that. I told Keith but I think he was already asleep.
-
I think I am crashing.
-
'night
-
I gotta tell you.
-
Finished with my viewing, listening to the Mahler second and getting ready to write something called notes.
-
Today, I received my new multi-region Blu-ray player from eBay!
-
I set it up and tested both region 1 DVDs and 2 DVDs.
-
I played a region A Blu-ray disc and that worked, too...as I expected it to.
-
Now, I just need to dig out one of my region B Blu-ray discs, and then I'll have confirmation that it really works!
-
:D
-
While looking for a region 2 DVD, I found a DVD that was cracked when I received it, and wondered if it's copy-guarded.
-
I brought it to my older computer and found that it's not, so I was able to burn a copy!
-
I can watch that and the original won't get any more cracked.
-
:)
-
I burned the copy on my older computer because it's easier to copy DVDs on that than my new computer.
-
And...
-
...now...
-
...let's...
-
...see...
-
...if...
-
...we can make it to...
-
PAGE SIX!!
-
And here it it!
-
:))
-
And now, my work here is done. Time for bed and sleep, even.
Good night and have a good day, all!
