Good news - our USPS fellow delivered, direct to our door and into der Brucer's hands, Doctor Who - The Beginning!  Three discs, containing the first three serials (An Unearthly Child, The Daleks, and The Edge of Destruction) plus a thirty-minute condensed version of the fourth story, Marco Polo.

(Marco Polo is one of the "lost" stories, due to someone at the Beeb deciding to clean out a lot of the stuff that was in storage.  Some of the lost material has been found again, on occasion as far away as Singapore, but some of the stories now exist only in script form.)

We're still waiting for a delivery from DDDVD.  Maybe tomorrow....

Dinner should be fairly easy tonight.  I'm making meatballs and barley/vegetable soup.  Yes, the meatballs will be in the soup.  Should be yummilicious.

The girls are FINALLY friends.  This photo isn't the clearest, but it was one of the first times I saw them grooming each other and just grabbed and clicked before it scared them away

Did you change your profiles with your online stores (i.e., did you let them know your address has changed?).

Yes...I got that out of the way pretty early on.  It's that I've ordered some things that are not yet released and I chose the free shipping, which takes even longer...so it's all my fault. ;)

Hi Merrill! Welcome.  Over the summer the gang here heard the saga of my cats.  The black one, Boo was a stray, Callie wanted to kill her for about the first 6 weeks she lived here. It was a very long time that more than tried my patience and led to many postings of their feline adventures here at HHW, but here they are...friends at last

Well, today was a wasted day. I took DS's pickup truck to have the brakes checked (the brake light was staying on), and several hours later I am home. In a couple of hours, I have a board meeting, which likely will end around midnight.

UPS Guy stopped by...left me a lovely Ultimate Collector's Edition of "Superman"...plus one of my two remaining DDDVD orders....the Bogie & Bacall set...and the Paul Newman box.  Funny thing....the B&B set is four DVDS in regular keepcases.  The Newman box is seven DVDs in slimline cases.  The Newman box is only as wide as three of the four B&B DVDs.

So...in essence...10 slimline DVDs will fit in the same space as four regular keepcase DVDs.

I'm absolutely sure of one thing right now:

I'm comin' down with somethin'.

T'ain't allergies!

T'aint the holidays!

It scratches my throat and incites mucous flow.

And I'm feeling kind of flushed.

Welcome DR NewGirl!

I just finished watching Christmas in Rockefeller Center - it made me want to be back in NYC (but not in that crowd!).

I'm gonna have a nice hot bowl of stew for dinner with leftover cornbread.

I had a hot cup of Thera-Flu before leaving work and I'm feeling kind of sedate.  Sniffles are abated and throat seems okay...for the moment.

Early to bed this evening....well, after "Medium" if I can last that long...otherwise, that's what VCRs are for.

[sigh] I have five and a half hours of shows from last night to watch today. The finale to the first of three mini-mystery arcs on VERONICA MARS has gotten rave reviews from critics I've read, so I'll start with that.

Of course, by skipping commercials, it won't that me that long to watch all of these programs.

I've recently started watching Veronica Mars this season and thought last night's episode was awesome.

The next thing you'll see is the casting of Howie Mandel as Daddy Warbucks in "Annie."

And who wouldn't pay their bottom dollar to see that!?
